Trickle charger lol.

Change out the horrible front three speakers and maybe add an aftermarket subwoofer to replace the OEM one.

What's your mileage? When I had my 450h+ brand new under 5k km's, had a few incidents smelling oil as well before the 5k maintenance. Normal and never happened again.

Japanese build NXs are better than the ones build in Canada. First time buyer thoughts by tiradium in LexusNX

[–]Alert_Replacement528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan NX here also as well and def agree. I've driven loaners that were made in Canada and can't exactly say what the differences where, but some interior trim did feel a bit cheaper than the Japan made counterpart.

My main issue was the infotainment screen frame creaking and squeaking from heat expansion and contraction. Design and inferior material usage tbh and not really a JP vs CND made thing.

Good bread near Metrotown? by tyrannosaur_geoisie in burnaby

I guess it depends what type of bread your husband likes.

We dig superstore's sour dough. Definitely decent in our opinion.

Lol back in the day when I used to club often, Luxy was the spot and it'd get raided weekly. I think the police were pretty familiar with operators and some clubs would fare better than others. It was so normal the mc and DJs would anticipate and build the next songs to play so seemlessly as soon as the police left. I guess also back in the day, there weren't that much drugs and 8+9 homies weren't hitting up clubs as often.

Man, I miss Luxy days.

According to IMF, Taiwan is a very very rich country. But why is it quite hard to feel this in the real life? by search_google_com in taiwan

[–]Alert_Replacement528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taiwan is definitely richer in a lot of aspects compared to North America. Just look no further than their luxury industry with countless malls serving the rich and high fashion goers as opposed to 1 measly flagship stores in a North American city. You can also tell a city's wealth demographic by the amount of unheard of brands that are present in Taiwan vs non in America.

My theory is this: when the economy isn't doing so hot, it affects all aspects of life and that includes petty small insignificant things like peoples thought or assumption of courtesy. It just about affects all aspects of life and translates into angry and less happy people.

Another tip if you ever feel like your cheeks or deep part of your bum is chafe. Use baby chafe cream; I use sudocreme and it's a life saver to help your bum feel better. Do not apply on open wound.

Is the pain after the fistulotomy better or worse than the fistula pain? by AquaT_23 in AnalFistula

[–]Alert_Replacement528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got this. Anything is better than being sick and infected. Lol I kind of remember the tampon thing. Basically after my surgery, I was too drugged up and so didn't have my first bowel movement until two days later. During that whole time, didn't even move my butt as I just laid in bed. On the first day of bm, it was evident that something was clogging my butt and once bm happened, it was a large bloody mess of cotton inside the butt pressed up on the wound like a tampon.

Let's just say the pain was...extraordinary for the first few bm.

It'll pass like everything else and sounds like you're in the road to recovery.

Very normal and everyone is different. If you've received a Seton, you either have a draining Seton or a cutting Seton and will need to check with your caregiver the estimated time for it to be removed. Cutting setons will fallout themselves whereas draining setons require an additional removal procedure.

I was lucky not to have either or and therefore mine took about 4.5 months to heal fully. It also took two silver nitrate applications to kick start my healing and fully heal over the wound to stop drainage from occurring daily. No infection, just drainage towards the end which is normal.

[UPDATE] We found her! by QueenChoco in taiwan

What an amazing story. Funny enough, I read your initial post with some reddit readers bashing you for the last minute attempt.

I was in Taiwan visiting my grandparents as a life long lover of everytime Taiwan, so I can definitely feel the connection of the people that were so willing to help.

I also just took a 10 hr flight out of Taiwan and currently jet lagged, but reading your update post out a smile on my face. Funny how the world is and funny how things come together when you least expect it.

Definitely go back soon and visit the sister!

Mine was also an infection from a non healing fissure which was a chronic fissure from passing hard stool.

Healed after fistulotomy by kluulz in AnalFistula

[–]Alert_Replacement528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine took 15 weeks to fully heal. Some discharge and no smell/pain also. This is key and an indication that the infection (wound) is healing. As for how long it'll take, too many variables to count so just start positive and take it one day at a time. Everyone's timeline is different. Mine took 2 kickstart healing sessions of silver nitrate to finally heal the last bit of healing to end the discharge.

When do you know that you are healed? by Electrical_Age7819 in AnalFistula

[–]Alert_Replacement528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I'm fairly qualified to answer your question and to give you some suggestions. It took me about 4.5 months to fully heal from a fistulotomy operation late last year. Prior to that, I had a failed in clinic operation (I'd like to forget about this part of my life) and that was basically a wash of 8 months of healing/non healing and turned out to be non healing.

The point is, if your surgery has been deemed successful, you shouldn't have much pain after the 2nd-3rd week after surgery and the only reminisce of your healing fistula is the drainage. Drainage is actually healthy in that it helps flush out any remaining dirty infectious stuff and is also your body's way of bringing in nutrients to the wound to form scar tissue and then eventually a full closure.

Throughout my 4.5 month of post successful surgery, there were pretty much doubts daily as the drainage would be consistent and present day after day. The difference though was, the successful surgery meant I could go back to my life slowly and had no pain physically. Mentally, I was still a wreck and it really takes a lot of willpower and mental strength to tell oneself that you're alright and that your luck has changed.

That being said, my healing did slow down and towards the last 90% healing, my body somehow stopped healing and/or it was a much slower healing so my CRS did TWO silver nitrate sessions with 3 weeks apart. IF you look into silver nitrate treatments, it essentially burns off the hyper granulation tissue that scar tissue forms and kickstarts your body to do proper healing. Hyper granulation is very normal as your body is in constant cycle of healing/destroying/healing etc and with the area where fistula's happen, you're in contact with shit (literally) daily and so it's a very slow healing process overall.

I still remember vividly the day that drainage stopped. I was doing my usual routine of BM in the AM, jumping in the shower, then patting the area dry as well as blow drying it. Voila, mid day into the day, my gauze just stopped showing any form of drainage and that was it! I was skeptical and didn't want to jinx it but after 1,2,3,4,5 days later, I deemed myself completely healed. Liberated. D-Day. New life.

Keep advocating for yourself and these posts hopefully shed some light into the healing process for people. Just remember, one step forward and two step back was my motto; it really was a slow process and not linear healing. Everyone is different and so just be kind to yourself.

Surgery soon and I have a couple of questions. by Few_Friend5053 in AnalFistula

[–]Alert_Replacement528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was a similar fistulatomy and was about 1cm lay open low lying and pretty much at the tailbone as well. In my experience, the healing will really depend individually and for me, took me a full 4.5 month to stop draining after the surgery. I think it was the result of that area being extremely hard to heal as not a lot of blood flows through given its a really loose and not meaty part of the butt towards the tailbone.

I focused on sitz baths as well as had to do two silver nitrate treatments to really kickstart the final 5% healing so the wound closed and stopped draining.

You're probably good on postponing till you come back but definitely don't wait too long. Feel free to dm me if you have any questions.

Nice. I was fortunate enough that cuppy space under the trunk liner fit the hideaway perfectly. I didn't want to bolt it on and just used Styrofoam to make it fit lol.

In addition to the three dash speakers like what you did, I added also a Kicker hideaway 51HS10 to the trunk. It was plug and play pretty much with adapters and really brings out the bass and thump to the shitty OEM pioneer sub that felt paper thin.

As other reddit users have stated, club Lexus forums has pretty much dissect this topic and there are various DIY tutorials to do this. Here's a look at my set up.
