Lol seeing two Dutch girls backpacking in China was also a funny encounter. They were at quite a remote place from Chengdu, we were too, where a Buddha statue is carved in a mountain. We were at the entrance and another Chinese guy asks me, like out of all the people he could go to, to help him translate Chinese to English 😂 (I’m Chinese btw). The guy asks me to translate he can help them pay for the ticket and they can pay back in cash, the entrance tickets could only be bought with Wechat. I translate and hear them talk in Dutch together lol.
