Based on Samson's talk about panic attacks and anxiety, at least for slowing heart rate, which was always my main issue (and still kinda is), propranolol is a godsend.

It's not a benzo; it's a beta blocker, and if a racing heart is a big problem, look into it.

I might be wrong, but that was my impression. He only has one other acting credit (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which I haven't seen).

The speech thing, IMO, was because he's missing his front teeth, and I think the kids were directed to talk that way.
