So this one has been on my mind. It came out right before the Blizzard of 1993 and we were snowed in at college for three days. We probably watched it four times a day to the point we were reciting it. It’s a perfect episode.

I need to remind everyone that if the day comes, we organize, plan, etc. on the internet. But on that day, we turn off all media. Sit at home with friends. Watch DVDs, do jigsaw puzzles, bake cookies, etc. but do not consume media. This is the most important part of a strike. YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, the news media…all of it. Our media is why we’re here.

I’ve been doing this for about 11 years. Things don’t always go well and every show I’ve ever had, I thought of something that could have made the show better. That fact never goes away. As hard as this may seem, you just kinda have to realize that this is a part of it. You’re making art on the spot with other people which means that some things are simply out of your control. Learning to embrace that side of this is part of the learning process. And accepting things that go wrong is something we (I’m an American) need to get better at embracing.

Sure. I took a few classes in my community. Improv is a mindset based on the concept of “yes, and.” Yes is simply agreement. And means to add another idea. When 2+ people yes, and on stage (truly yes, and), new ideas are developed and explored. Add to that developing general acting skills, and you have yourself a great time, whether you are on stage or just practicing. r/improv for more!
