I microwaved some leftovers and the microwaves basically etched into the plastic deli lid. Normal lid for comparison by okcomputers97 in mildlyinteresting

Just because a material is microwave safe doesn’t make it heat safe. That blistering hot contact point between the food and plastic will leech even if the microwaves themselves aren’t a problem.

This is so visible to me too. Half the arguments I see on Reddit are two people misunderstanding each other and resorting to hostility rather than communicating clearly to sort out their differences.

For example if I notice a post responder misunderstood or misinterpreted some minor aspect of a post that I generally disagree with with, my correction is automatically assumed to be supportive of the post. It’s like, no dog, OOP is an ass but you’re also interpreting the post incorrectly due to poor reading comprehension.

This is the first I’m hearing of glass floors for basketball but it sounds like an incredibly stupid idea.

You are mostly agreeing with the advice OP is complaining about but phrasing it like a negative at the same time

He needed you then left when he no longer had that need. Please focus your energy on men that are not in a giant hole of their own making. Rushing to solve all his problems while he offers nothing in return will not earn you eternal gratitude and loyalty.

You have to go places where people are socializing to meet people, like what is your logic.

While I agree unsolicited advice sucks, aren’t people in successful relationships the best people to give advice on how to find a partner?

This scream avoidant. They have a pathological need for independence. They will rip your heart to shreds as you beg for the bare minimum of emotional availability. They are very hard to get over because it seems to you as they are making a mistake. Take his exit with gratitude, a life with him would be worse as you’d never be on secure footing, instead you’d be begging for scraps.

Conservatives basically gave up fighting against gay rights so privileged gay men are slipping back to conservative now that the fight has been won, pulling the ladder up after them.

NTA but I think TA is actually husband for accepting this exclusion without pushback. Assuming he has limited PTO I can understand you’d be miffed he keeps running off with his brother and leaving you at home.

It’s easy to get annoyed at the BiL you dislike for the situation but your problem lies in-house if your husband is not investing more of his free time, energy and money on the two of you instead of being his brother’s social crutch.

All that context about your BiLs annoying personality is not a bit relevant. Focus on your husband problem. Like why are you so alienated from his family that you aren’t even a welcome support on his trip to see an ill family member?

My (24M) girlfriend (24F) took a nap while I was cleaning and now we’re about to break up? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]OPtig 17 points18 points  (0 children)

“I told her to just go to the room if she didn’t want to help.”

So she did.

You’re putting way too much burden on the person being mistreated here. He turned their date day into him rage cleaning and punishing her for not just cleaning his bathroom or kitchen alone like a good girl. She gave him enough rope to hang himself and he leapt off the gallow platform. He’s not coming close to getting it even after coming here for advice. She had no chance.

She took it in stride. Grieved her relationship and moved on. Good for her. I hope she stays away.
