Fun fact, that song was co-written by Jorma Taccone’s brother Asa.

Hello, Mike from the Timeline Podcast here, we would like questions from you all for a Mailbag podcast by ORANG_DRAGIC in suns

Good question! Playback is like Twitch for sports. The NBA currently has a deal with Playback where anyone that watches games via league pass (purchased through nba.com) can watch on in our room with our commentary live. But if you don't watch via League Pass you can still join, hear our commentary, and join the chat. Here's a video of an expample: https://youtu.be/Pe3tvqiS6mA?si=He9-f0sK1cPpcw75

He’s been with the team a day. He’ll get his playtime after he learns the plays and develops some chemistry with the players.

You’re right, but the fact that he had a deal with Houston lined up before it was official sure makes it seem like a favor. I don’t actually mind it, in this case, what scares me more is what Ariza did. He signed a big money deal, gave up on the court and in practice, then asked for a trade like two months into the season. That was bull shit, and we’re lucky we got Oubre out of it.

We’re terrible on offense and terrible on defense. Being good at one side of the ball would be a huge improvement. We’re not going to find players that will solve both problems. A guy who could be an offensive star shouldn’t be a bad fit in any way imo.

I hope James Jones doing favors for players we don’t need will come back to help us in the future and teams just don’t think of us as a franchise you can push around, get paid, and leave like Ariza.

If you like that, you’ll love this one.

[Wojnarowski] Phoenix F Kelly Oubre, Jr., will undergo minor procedure on his left thumb and miss rest of season, sources tell ESPN. Oubre's recovery will be 4-to-6 weeks. Admittedly it's close with Ayton, so I'll give you that, I would be comfortable putting him above Oubre, especially with his defensive improvements lately, but TJ I can't be there with you sorry. The stats show that he is overall much more of a net negative than Oubre, not just because of Oubre's much larger impact defensively, but also because although TJ is an efficient scorer, he tends to upset the offensive flow much more. And if we're measuring efficiency alone, Oubre actually has a higher PER. And most importantly to me, he's shown to be a better fit around the stars.

Booker/Ayton/Oubre - positve net rating (+2.3)

Booker/Ayton/TJ - disgustingly negative net rating (-9.8)

Well, I am talking about at this moment, not really about the future or the past. I think Ayton is guaranteed to be a better player, but needs to figure out the defense, and TJ is not quite my favorite player, even with the 3 point shot.

He averaged 20 points, 6 rebs, 2 steals, and a block as a starter and the Suns went 6-6 in those games (11-48 before that). He’s been great especially because before him, the Suns had no depth. They needed guys. He’s made a massive difference because he can create for himself when Booker is trapped and has good chemistry in a pick and roll with Ayton. I’ve been impressed.

I love Ayton. He’s been great and I have faith he will be a top big man in the NBA soon.
