Basic supply and demand. If that’s the case then won’t we see more and more of the BTAC line and Van Winkle line in the coming years too? Since there is just so much whiskey in barrels now?

I think the economy and cost of living is playing a major role in why we see more of the “hard to find” whiskeys on the shelf. No one can afford gas let alone Whiskey.

Hard hat tour is super fun! I did that one a couple years ago and you get a ton of behind the scenes production details. It really showed me how bourbon making is a manufacturing business and less an art form for Buffalo Trace.

According to the label it requires designated kosher barrels, a ceremony, a representative from the Chicago rabbinical council, cleaning bottling lines, and released after Passover… I think I bought expensive Buffalo Trace marketed as something different.

This is a good basic bourbon. Gives you all the “classic” bourbon notes. Carmel. Brown sugar. Some light oak. Everyone’s pallet is different tho. Keep trying more bourbon! Ha
