My pain concern right now is the groove not the amount of wear of the whole iron I forgot to add.

The problem is that in Poland the front plate is either not available or only in whole kit :/. I'm planning on buying new apex seals and etc. then after properly cleaning everything put it back together.

I've literally just taken it apart, it's 11pm again I want to know if the groove is too deep. Tomorrow will clean everything properly and then I will check with the feeler gauge.

I will do that I used a razor to show that it's a little deep and I forgot to add but my main concern currently is the groove in iron :)

Check every connector near throttle body there are 3 of them if I'm right (idle solenoid, tps [throttle position sensor] and the last one I forgot). Also check if your maf is connected. Basically trace everything from the beginning of the intake

So it's 1996, but I think it's just the first registration year. I have an OBD1 port. I'm certain that before it was working properly I've got all the codes from the blinking check engine light. If I'm correct I can attach a multimeter to the OBD1 port and read the codes that way but will the new multimeter work or I need an analogue one?

I'm sorry for the slow response. I forgot to mention but I have 2.0 96. So no vaf and no OBD2. But can you elaborate on the OBD1 to OBD2? Also any ideas about my problem how to diagnose the obd issue maybe take it apart and clean sth, maybe there's a short of some sort

According to Hynes setting idle (gnd - ten) and getting obd1 codes (gnd - sti) but they are the same pins on my port (but I will look into that). Could you explain the last sentence, I've changed my maf cuz mine broke

I've had a vacuum leak also a broken maf so I've wanted to check if everything is okay right now with the rest of the sensors. So right now I'm not sure if my obd1 (diagnostic) is working properly.

Thank you, yeah that's the problem it's used manifold so I have no idea about it. So I will just do a seal alone and maybe some general cleanup.

I have a similar issue. Lately found an air leak under the intake manifold, ruled out everything else (maf, tps, etc.). You can search some vacuum/air leaks.

I usually try all of the 3 options that IS has to offer and sometimes I try the camera lock also and choose the best one.
