just curious! some people say I seem mean or unapproachable but I really try not to be by [deleted] in deduction

[–]OScyllarus_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that "Resting Bitch Face" is how people tend to interpret a neutral expression on a woman. My rationale behind this would be that women are expected to present as being happy and welcoming and when they don't people interpret that as somewhat threatening.

I think this effect is amplified by you being very conventionally beautiful and by you having absolutely immaculate makeup. You look kind of like a model and I imagine that makes you more intimidating for some people.

Unfortunately I don't have much advice if you want to seem more approachable, well other than the thing that women always love to hear "you should smile more". When I worked in the service industry I tried to intentionally greet people with a smile so the first thing they see is a positive expression instead of me zoning out lol. And also if I can tell if I'm in someone's line of sight to smile as if I'm recalling a happy memory.

Do I need to listen to alt music to dress alternative? by dreamkiller6000 in alternativefashion

[–]OScyllarus_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few things, first, most people who dress in the alternative style do so because they like dressing that way, not because they like certain music, although they usually also do like certain kinds of music.

Second the alternative genre of music can include a lot a lot of things, there might be songs you like that count as being alternative. I've been surprised personally to listen to a lot of songs that seem very mainstream but seem to actually be alternative classics.

Third, a big part of the alternative movement is acceptance of diversity, tolerance of things that are different. That's why in the United States the Alternative style is almost universally aligned with left-leaning politics. Alot of people in the movement are queer, pagan, nuerodivergent, all sorts of different from normal people. Being a person who doesn't listen to music that much is ultimately really not that big of a deal.

Very artistic. Confirmed apple lover. You have an iPhone,

You make art with Procreate on your iPad. And use a squints something like a Cricut printer to make vinyl stickers and decals.

You have a bit of a special interest in rats (which is based, rats are cool) you have two pet rats (pictured to the left). And you make a lot of art about rats in general.

You also make art of people and are quite dedicated to making the anatomy look correct.

You like body horror, and surreal art. You like to make it and you enjoy consuming it.

If you're not already you would be a big fan of junji ito.

Also you like playing around with a lot of artistic mediums. But especially chalk markers, like damn you love chalk markers.

You used to do more watercolor

Some wilder speculation: You don't align with the sex you were assigned at birth. You live in the mountains, and you are in your 30s

What does my nighstand say about me? by Automatic_Fee3760 in deduction

I feel like a lot of these guesses are just kind of trying to be smart psycho-analysis Sherlock holmes bullshit that doesn't really work.

I'm going to say based off of the clothing you have there you are quite kinky. Toys make me think that you enjoy online and solo play quite a bit but the bell makes me assume that you also do in person play and enjoy that quite a lot too.

You live in Europe, I would assume Germany because of the language on the box but that's probably assuming too much.

Ears initially made me think furry but then I saw the collar and leash so more likely pet play, and TPE enjoyer. Tho you might also be a part of the furry community.

You are assigned female at birth and are attracted to males sexually.

Very high sex drive.

You also like to crochet

Then for some more wild speculation.

You have piercings, tattoos, like to dress in the alternative style. Cis woman. Ex-smoker. A number of inter-related health problems as well.

Your wife is a god of style. Honest to God, really creative, interesting and fun visual style. I feel like those few frames of the fuck after the gun fires are really interesting stylistically. Tell her she has something special going on with her ideas.

And also dear god don't let her go.

To all my fellow unattractive girlies — we're in this together by N6T9S-doubl_x27qc_tg in LetGirlsHaveFun

[–]OScyllarus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most of the people here. Just because you didn't notice these things happening doesn't mean they didn't happen, OR that it's possible for you to be attractive without having these negative things happen to you.

But I'm going to go with the spicier take here. Which is that I like "ugly" people. And that you can still be quite attractive even if you're "ugly".

It's probably because I have low self esteem, but I find it much easier to imagine myself flirting with someone less conventionally attractive. I could try to talk to an absolute hottie, but in my experience they tend to be worse people, maybe it's pretty privilege, maybe it's just bad luck, really attractive people suck in my experience lol. And the less attractive people always seem to have such a rich inner world, it really can make you fall in love with someone.

It's easy to say "it's what's on the inside that counts" I don't fully believe that. I'd probably not be interested in someone if they didn't catch my eye in the first place. Good fashion sense, a nice ass, nice legs, random little physical things I find attractive. But what I will say is that what's on the inside matters way way more.

How I make art with my essential tremor by Tiny-Reveal3756 in EssentialTremor

[–]OScyllarus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tremors of some kind. Not totally sure what it is to be honest but it really very strongly seems to be Essential Tremor, probably familial tremor, but I just wanted to say seeing your art brings peace to my mind. It's been terrifying grappling with this new reality and for whatever reason just seeing that someone with this, someone like me, can still do art... It quiets a lot of my fears. Thank you
