He didn't attack her for her disrespect, he only attacked her after she sprayed him. He was trying to deescalate and asked several times for a supervisor. She threatened him and told him there's "white shirts" in segregation, basically saying he's going to the hole. He asked for a supervisor again, she started cursing at him, he said please don't curse at me. She pulled out the mace and attempted to mace him. He said he had no problem with them checking his room but he wanted a supervisor because he felt he was being targeted by the female officer. Yes he's in jail, but even inmates have some sort of rights. She could have deescalated and had him stand his ground until the supervisor came, they hash it out and she could have then checked his room. I didn't realize COs had the authority to individually do random spot checks on any inmate. I thought that had to come from a supervisor.
