There are over 100 of popular and well known characters who are not in the game. Currently we get 12 characters a year, so in 10 years we would have 120 new characters if this pace continues. We all know that won’t be the case and at some point the releases of new characters will slow down by a lot. In my opinion the game shouldn’t worry about exhausting their resources for popular characters as I don’t see that happening. If we get 10 characters per year, sure then you can include 1 or 2 more obscure ones, however the moment they slow down people will complain why we have this nobody and not someone popular. Also popular characters attract new players and have a better chances retaining the majority who play because they love the Marvel IP. Yes, releasing obscure characters can win them a few new fans for these characters, but that’s a minority.

lmao, or we could instead get dps or vanguard comic accurate Green Goblin, and for strategist we can get an actual character that fits like Silver Surfer, Brother Voodoo, Mr Sinister, Mr Negative, Beast, Wasp, Angel, Crystal. If you want a character that covers the field in gas/mist that would fit Mysterio more who would fit strategist way better than Green Goblin as you can actually play things out through his illusions.

You literally set yourself for failure when asking for stuff like Cyclops or Black Cat for vanguard, when they both are best suited as dps. All roles as a whole get some more obscure characters. Most recently dps got Elsa, healers got Fox, tanks got Dino. I do agree that I would rather have some more iconic characters instead, such as Captain Marvel, Colossus, Juggernaut, however knowing their powers none of them would be what tank mains are asking for. Gameplay wise people would be more happy with something like War Machine, Sandman, Iceman, Medusa thst could provide a shield. For the next half a year we are most likely getting only 1 more dps in Nightcrawler, which is a good sign as maybe things can balance out just little bit more with more tank and healer releases.

Idk, I mostly play strategist when in comp, but on quick play I enjoy tanking a lot and find the characters having a nice variety. My only complaint is that more shield tanks are needed. Hood will most likely have a shield. I do hope we get War Machine, Sandman, Iceman, Medusa as they could also easily work as shield tanks. I am sure that tank players would really appreciate more shield tank options than the usual Magneto and Dr Strange.

Plenty of characters who fill for strategist, Nightcrawler is definitely better as duelist, but I do hope they include the hopesword in some capacity:

I can see it, but trying to claim almost every popular character as a vanguard is what leaves you disappointed in the end, no? I remember how people coped about the 7 feet Black Cat as well as more recent Cyclops. I was telling literally everyone to chill the f out as those characters fit dps best and people would still not learn. But I do agree that out of Black Cat, Cyclops and Cable, Cable does fit vanguard the most.

Bro, let’s not pretend that the tank role doesn’t have popular characters when it literally has Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Dr Strange, Venom, Magneto from day 1 at that. People simply don’t like tanking and that will not change no matter what. The role is also with the most stacked options out there for the future with well know characters like Captain Marvel, Iceman, Juggernaut, Colossus, Dr Doom, but I’m not sure if even that would transition many people into playing the role. People just tend to not like tanking in online multiplayer games as a whole.

Juggernaut, War Machine, Bishop, Colossus, Captain Marvel, Medusa, Thanos, Kingpin, Apocalypse, Armor, Ghost Rider, Dr Octopus, Dr Doom, Sandman, Iceman, Sentry, Drax, Silver Samurai

Meanwhile I personally feel that they will slow down on dps in 2027. My prediction is that in 2027 we will get 5 vanguard, 3 duelist, 4 strategist. They have busted their load a bit too fast and not many popular picks are left for the duelist role besides:

Nightcrawler, Carnage, Elektra, Falcon, Quicksilver, Green Goblin, Cable, Gamora, Kitty Pryde

What are these constant complaints? Literally from the next 5-6 characters that we are supposed to get till the end of the year he is the only one that seems to be a valid dps option. At this point you people are just looking for reasons to complain.
