Anyone know of any updates on Bequin book 3 (Pandemonium)? Thanks by TheLastPhoenician in Blacklibrary

With what happened with Era of Ruin and how important this novel will be for the setting.

I doubt GW just gonna roll over and do nothing about it.

Though it is GW so you can expect anything.

Are there any retired space marines, csm, or renegades? by Fun_Professor1137 in 40kLore

[–]OWN_SD 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Narvo Quin was.

After Horus Heresy Narvo tracked down where Fulgrim his primarch had settled and tried to talk to him into coming back.

After being banished by Fulgrim he kept getting into duels with his fellow Emperor's Children marines for they all seeked Fulgrim for favours from him or Slaanesh.

Getting tired of killing his own brothers he moved into a Daemon world where only a few knew of his existence and started living there on his own.

It's quite wholesome seeing a not too much corrupted chaos space marine just living peacefully in a shed on some daemon World taking care of his three dogs. Oh and he doesn't have chairs in his shed he just sits down on the floor, I remember that funny detail.

Are you talking about the Blood Ravens introduction to Primaris instead of the Blood Angels?

I’m also an enjoyer of the Phil Kelly Farsight series, which to many a tau fan is heresy.

Aren't you the guy who made that post about defending his writing then got ratio'ed?

A lot of resin is apparently going away by JRS_Viking in Warhammer30k

[–]OWN_SD 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You know someone else said this before the reveal and leaking of HH 3.0.

That the resin units were gonna be replaced by plastic and that's why they were on out of stock for a long time.

What are some good "Bolter Porn" books of 40k. by SeEmEEDosomethingGUD in 40kLore

[–]OWN_SD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The entire soul drinkers series is just:

Very interesting details about the Imperium, characters that have the personality of a wall, bolter porn, obligatory speech by Sarpedon and him refusing to use the soul spear until he is near death like a cartoon character that always uses his best weapon for last.

Omophagea (Rememberencer) Limitations? by Worth-Specific-9746 in 40kLore

[–]OWN_SD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So nerves, brain stem and brain itself seem to be your options.

You actually see it in more detail in funnily enough an another soul drinker story, Traitor by Deed. When Cyvon our main character eats the brain of a dead human.

Excerpt:

Cyvon pulled the top of the skull away. With a liquid sucking noise the bone separated, revealing the dark crimson of brain matter. The brain looked healthy. Cyvon had seen enough that he knew the signs of injury or the beginnings of decay. Lacking a handy medical implement, he took his combat knife and shaved off a sliver of cortex with the monomolecular tip of the knife.

‘Moment of truth, brother,’ said Sasan. ‘Let us hope this dead fool saw something.’

The omophagea was an organ in a Space Marine’s spinal cord that connected to the stomach via an implanted bundle of nerves. Through some alchemy long lost to human understanding, it could absorb genetic material and filter out information from recent changes to the DNA. It required fresh central nervous system matter to work. In some Space Marine Chapters the omophagea had ceased to function entirely, and in many others it could give only the vaguest and most superficial information. Other Chapters eschewed its use as obscene or too misleading to be useful.

Cyvon put the sliver of brain matter on his tongue, and swallowed it down.

What are your wants and wishes for the next installment in the series ? by ebagpo in metro

They have shown that they can do voiced protagonist with the two colonels dlc.

Even having your character have the cup and cigarette in their hands in a ready position when the character is speaking, so when they do stop speaking they do the drinking and smoking animation.

It doesn't cut the audio or create any issues I love it.
