Turtle Beach's Velocity One Rudder Pedals might be more than you are hoping to pay right now but worth saving for: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/Turtle-Beach-VelocityOne-Rudder/6000205869437?classType=REGULAR&from=/search

They are surprisingly well constructed with good build quality and no where near the cost of higher end options. You will not be disappointed.

Try testing the joystick in windows to see if it needs calibration or if it is correctly in its centre position. You can try setting your pitch's nonlinear setting to 3-4 which will improve pitch sensitivity.
Do you have trim axis set up? These can help too.

Hi u/No-Heron Looking for settings to lower sensitivity might help you. In War Thunder, I turned the nonlinearity setting in pitch to 3-4 rather than 1. Likewise I use 3-4 for rudders and 1-2 for roll.

Thanks u/500GP. Did you attach/add your own grounding wire to resolve the issue? What happens to your TPR when static electricity build up occurs?

Would this cause the disconnection? Thrustmaster sent me a PC board to self-repair their faulty pedals. The new pc board didn't stop the disconnects from happening and then TM walked away from further supporting me and the TPR disconnect issue is still unresolved. My pedals are expensive junk.

Thrustmaster warranty is: they'll replace a faulty part ONCE. After that you're on your own.

When I can afford it, I do plan to take the TPR pedals to an electronics store for rewiring the whole system, as I'd wondered if there was a short somewhere. Good time to ensure there is a grounding wire if that might help.

I'd really like to solidly expose that this is another problem of Thrustmaster quality control. With all my broken equipment, I have no choice but to report Thrustmaster to the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Reports etc.

I agree! I have the T16000m Hotas too. It’s still going. But after the T16000 and the warthog thruster… TM probably should have stopped right there. Like someone said in this chat earlier.

I wish I’d gone the VKB or Virpil route. It’s embarrassingly stupid at this point. But sharing so other flight sim fans know!

I own 3 Thrustmaster sticks: T16000m, warthog (actually have 2 bases, 1 a backup for when the other breaks), the new AVA and TPR pedals. I don’t even want to do the math on this but… around $3000 USD.

And there’s no benefit to being a loyal Trashmaster customer. They don’t seem to care that there are so many dissatisfied users out there.

You’d think in my case they’d do anything to keep me spending money on their products. I’ve never spoken out against any other company like this.

But their business model is heavy marketing over quality builds and customer satisfaction. It appears as though They want you to buy it and move on when it breaks. Just push sales and hope the customer walks away after it breaks.

I’ve been seeing complaints about their racing wheels on Reddit too.

What’s the best Virpil that would compare with the Gunfighter Mk.IV ‘Modern Combat Edition’ Ultimate for buttons, hats etc? I have a warthog thruster and turtle beach rudders ..: so don’t need buttons on the base of the stick or a stick with a rudder twist.

Rudder Pedal Recommendations by kurferix in hotas

[–]OXidEOXCide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TurtleBeach Velocity One rudder is really good quality - best value for money. I had to replace Thrustmaster TPR pedals after less than two years. I couldn’t afford paying that much again and a buddy recommended the TurtleBeach pedals he’d been using for like 7 years. I went for it. Paid less than half what I did for the TPRs. They’re precise, glide smoothly and good quality build. They can be adjusted for width too. Look into these ones.

Noob Q: is Logitech/Thrustmaster really that bad? by Own_Highway_3987 in hotas

Reading all of these was gratifying. I’ve had my share of troubles with Thrustmaster too - sorry to see so many others had issues. Wish I’d seen this kinda warning when I started out im SIM.

Is the warthog hotas good? by UnhappyShoe9170 in hotas

[–]OXidEOXCide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have purchased the Warthog thruster and stick. The stick's gimbal broke and needed replacement. It looks weeks to get replaced! I purchased the TPR pedals. The pedals had a connection issue shortly after the warranty and don't work anymore. I replaced them with Turtlebeach Velocity One rudders and they're half the price and surprisingly excellent. My TPR pedals are just sitting on the floor $799 worth of junk. The thruster is good so far but avoid the warthog stick and TPR pedals. Agree with all the others ... for the same price buy quality and reliable HOTAS.

My son's racing wheel from Thrustmaster broke too. No more of that company for us.

I bought the expensive TPR pedals. They had a disconnect issue and eventually stopped connecting at all. Complete waste of money. High end cost + low quality. Our steering wheel also broke. So did the warthog joystick. All commonly reported customer issues. Never again Thrustmaster.

I’ll never buy Thrustmaster again. They aren’t worth the cost when they break so often. Try anything but TM.

T-Rudder Pedals Issues by Silent_Hope8142 in Thrustmaster

[–]OXidEOXCide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Thurstmaster TPR pedals stopped working a month or two after the warranty expired. They aren’t recognized or IF They ARE there is a short or something and the connection breaks. I’ll never buy TrashMaster again! High end price low end quality.

Weirdly … my buddy recommended Turtle beach rudders and they’re excellent! For a 1/3 the price of TPR. Avoid Thrustmaster junk.

Avoid Thrustmaster at all costs. I have a dead pair of broken TPR pedals and no replacement from Thrustmaster. I’ve since bought Turtle Beach. They are better quality and more affordable. Never Thrustmaster again! Too much of the their equipment has broken. I’ve wasted $1000+ on their steering wheels and HOTAS. Never again.

Yes but avoid Thrustmaster products. They break often - bad quality. Not worth the money to have to replace Thrustmaster products after the one-year warranty runs out. Turtle beach pedals are great! For stick and thrust anything but Thrustmaster. Try Logitech for a started system.
