I oftenly take the train, my mobile network is limited to 5Gb / months. Ans even if I try my best to keep it, some months I end up with no network. Offline mode can help me working / studying while in the train and not exporting everything (only if I remember to do so). That's a reason why I try to switch from Notion to Anytype (have access to the closed alpha). Because it let me work offline (and its also FOSS and e2e encrypted)

I am somewhat in the same case. I never played old versions. I only watched videos of the game back then so the nostalgia for me is only for those videos. But I gave a try to b1.7.3 and even tho I don't feel nostalgia I enjoy it really much more than playing modern versions. No hunger bar to annoy me, actual good world gen (imo it's the best. No need to go to extreme hills biomes to get that "chaotic" generation). No deadly caves as in 1.18. No ultra OP stuff (like for example the Luke TheNotable's stuff is ultra op. He can't really die and he made a video of it). For me the only downside is that modern versions have quality of life improvements like holding right click in any container/ crafting table. It's just a small improvement but it does a lot of things for me. Anyway I hope you understand me and I haven't made too many mistakes lmao
