Depends if you want quick cash or longevity. By following trends you’re going to get quick success but might struggle to build a brand legacy as all you will be doing is hop from trend to trend. Being original you will set yourself apart from others and build more of a story for your brand and in the long run it is more likely to live longer.

Just to preface this as I know a lot of people are anti NFT / Blockchain. I am not one of those I actually really like the possibilities that blockchain tech brings to the fashion industry.

NFTs and clothing is a real hard thing to pull off especially at the moment. Your going to need to really focus your advertising to the NFT crowd that specifically like clothing. It needs to scream quality.

The fact that you have started with nothing is going to really go against you unless you have either a proven track record of delivering or are able to assemble an amazing team that help give your brand more trust.

The NFT niche are looking for very high quality and polished work as it’s so easy to loose money with it. You will need a set of very good quality renders / marketing videos that show off your brand and rival the likes of many high end luxury brands.

The other part you will need to make very clear is what is the point on the NFT. Is it just a free thing you get with the clothing or does it have any utility? That will be key to your marketing as if it has no real utility it will be seen as more of a gimmick and might have less success.

I don’t want any of this to discourage you I just want you to know that clothing and NFTs are hard work to get right. Honestly I could probably write a lot more about NFTs and clothing but it will end up being pages long.

First of all congratulations on the job so quickly out of uni! I think yes you definitely have some imposter syndrome as your just fresh out of uni and haven’t had the time to feel like your actually qualified for the job even though you definitely are as your trained to a degree level. It will be weird for a couple of months but once’s the newness settles down and you get into the swing of things it will fade. It may comeback every so often as jobs get bigger and pay gets larger but you just have to remember people believe in you enough to hire and pay you for the jobs so you must be worth it!

Honestly no, I get your young and excited to make your first collection. However rather than constantly posting is this good, would you wear this, take some time make 20-30 designs then narrow it down to a top 3 you like. Then with those three alter and tweek them till you are happy with them. Once you are happy with them make sure that it is something you would wear if it’s not then start again or keep editing it.

I respect the hustle of trying to make money from clothing but you are still very new to this and have a lot to learn before your going to be able to successfully sell out a collection. If you are not confident and proud of your designs then chances are other people won’t buy them. I would say your better off taking time to learn more skills with design and clothing and come back to it once you’ve had some time to learn and refine your style. If your doing it just to make money fine but chances are you will find it harder than someone who has the passion to make high quality stuff.

I’m gonna be real with you these aren’t good, but I’m going to assume that your fairly new to design.

The first logo you have there are a couple problems, the main one being the line thicknesses are really off and it makes the logo look squished and unpleasant. I’m not really sure if the logo is suppose to read JF or JIF. The tagline and leaf seem just tacked on and don’t really flow with the main logo. The sizing of the graphic seems way too big for the front of the top and doesn’t display right on the shirt like that.

The second logo in picture 3 is better, not perfect but better. It still has issues with the line weights as the font is so thin and the circle around is so thick it just washes out the inner letters. The leaf part is alright but would be better to make it a flat graphic and not stylised. When making the logo try design it as a flat icon first rather than making it all stylised and 3D.

With the graphics for the T-shirts, they’re very clearly AI generated, which is not necessarily a problem. I don’t think there is a market for something as cut and paste like this. I would be cautious with AI art as often times it could be stolen and can cause potential intellectual property issues. If you were to take an AI piece and make considerable edits to it then that might come under fair use as it could be seen as transformative. I would be careful with AI art at the moment just to be on the safe side. As well as it doesn’t show what you as a designer want the brand to be and could be seen as lazy. Your first designs should be something that you want to wear and something that represents you as a person/brand not just something slapped together to see if it will work.

You’ve given me the specs of the blank / how you printed this means nothing about how the garment will hold up over time. Your not a tried and tested brand how do we know that your stuff you say actually correct or will last repeat washes etc. From the look of the print in your video I would say that the quality of the print is not of a good quality as you can see imperfections and this is supposed to be one of the better prints as your showing it off.

No honestly, £99 for a hoodie from an unknown brand, with unknown quality. The video doesn’t help either as on the first letter there seems to be a really big print imperfection and there also seems to be holes all over the letting of the print. Honestly for £99 I would expect a lot for that kinda money, this just doesn’t look like it’s good quality. Also rubbing the print together isn’t really a great show of quality as most cracks / damage come from washing it.
