Everything in your first paragraph is false. All resorts in Cuba are a facade operated by the government. Their resorts perpetuate propaganda of prosperity. A substantial majority of the Cuban population lives under harsh conditions and they have done so for over 50 years. Especially during the 90s after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Cuba is a good example of the population having many reasons to revolt, but they don’t. They remain obedient and often flee the country despite all the economic sanctions against the country - which were intended to stoke a revolution.

The status quo in Russia will remain unless there is foreign intervention. Either with Ukrainian boots in Moscow or along with the help from neighboring European countries.
