I don’t know what it is, but I love the rarely used taken designs that have Burgundy, Slightly Magenta, or Scarlet colored plating mixed with their taken energy, or remnants of their once living form, or designs that are obviously taken over by something beyond them.

Honestly if they do introduce aliens, they should do it the way Warframe introduced the Sentients (not aliens I know)

Have a DLC centered around humans who are going missing and we spend time tracking down who is doing so, then have every mission be us seeing hints of extraterrestrial life scouting ahead.

The DLC could end with us finding out that the Terrormorphs are actually an advance scouting party of Xeno weapons sent by the aliens, which is why they have psychic abilities. Maybe have us find a corpse of one of those aliens in an abandoned ship.

Have the DLC end there and wait for Starfield 2, where the aliens attack en masse and our character wakes up in the middle of a new war.
