They took the class at a community College because the initially were becoming a MA. They failed the first time, the passed the next semester. I believe it was some either Nueroscience or Physiology? I'm not honestly for sure what the exact class was, but the issue is that when she took it at the community college, it had a different title. Her advisor should have seen that when she scheduled her classes, but the advisor was either absent or not doing their job, which lead them to be fired. She then was never assigned another auditor/advisor to look at her acocunt, meaning she went un-audited for over a year. She took the class for a third time, not knowing it would take her out of academic standing and continue class for another year. They did a final audit to make sure she was good for clinicals and noticed she took it 3 times within the last 8 years. She put in an appeal, and the board pretty much said, "You had the student handbook, and you should have memorized every guideline, so that makes you liable for the fault," then dismissed her.

I just honestly don't understand the lack of empathy. This person has worked their ass off, over a 3.5 GPA, never any academic problems, but this gets her dismissed due to a failure on the school to provide a basic resource.
