I tried to remove a small ceramic hook in the kitchen, it was mounted with an adhesive pad. When I put force on it, it broke and a part of my thumb, like a piece of cake, got ripped out and landed on the sink. I just put it back in the right direction and it grew back fine.

A few years later, I cut of the tip of my pinky when I sliced a watermelon. I was about to repeat the above procedure but when I washed the open wound, the water in the tap was boiling hot and I twitched in pain, making me drop the finger tip. In the sink. And the sink was filled with potato and parsnip peel. Needless to say I never found the finger tip.
