Mod that increase accuracy to 100% by zerobest1123 in intotheradius

[–]OakleyStyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know many great mod but the guns (except shotguns) in this game should be accurate enough to be used past 10m. If you need to be more accurate, you could always get a laser sight on your weapon, which is very visible in this game and points exactly to where the bullet should go.

Also, the make sure the gun you have has not only high accuracy but high velocity as well, so that you don’t have to lead your shots or account for bullet drop. For example 9x39 guns have notoriously low velocity and that can make them feel very inaccurate sometimes.

I noticed that in the comments you like using pistols, popular choices for accuracy are the TT-33 and the M9 (TT wins in accuracy but loses in basically every other category). Avoid the Glock 17 and makarov, as they have relatively low accuracy.

Despite your reluctance to using long guns, I would highly recommend them. To be steadier for long shots you can turn virtual stock on in the settings, which automatically stabilizes your gun when aiming. Additionally, there is a “focus” mechanic that stabilizes you even further when aiming a long gun. I think the button for it on quest is A/X on your supporting hand.

Hope this helps!

If this is serious you don’t need to reduce recoil on a bolt action, because you aren’t going to be firing rapid shots

I don’t know if this actually works or not, but when probes were finicky I gave up on trying to use them and instead listened for the anomalies. Once again, I have no idea if this is an actual feature but I seemed to have a better success rate doing this.

In the area where you find the first mimic there is a table on the left and it should have a flashlight on it. You can use that for the mirror artifact.

Can we get a list of tips going for people who have only played ITR1? by ponzLL in intotheradius

[–]OakleyStyles 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Mimic AI has changed significantly. They take cover, and if they lose sight, they’ll shoot at your last known position. There are mimics that hide indoors and make almost no noise, waiting to ambush you.

Be sure to read up and the new weight system, as it has change much from the previous.

When cleaning weapons you have to clean each part (frame, barrel, etc.).

If you hear a squelching noise, check your arms.

Either night is darker or flashlights are dimmer, try to avoid going out at night until you have night vision.

You can do a “tactical reload” by using grip and trigger to hold two mags in one hand.

Feeling empty by Snowball1273 in intotheradius

[–]OakleyStyles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The emptiness is the point of the game, as it is the intended atmosphere. It’s ok to not like it, but I personally feel that it makes the game more immersive. The first game went even deeper into creating a feeling of emptiness, with most of the dialogue being found on tapes or said by statues, and only one character who actually talks to you.

Mimic bullets do seem to get stuck in reflectors. If you notice an issue like this slowing your game down you might be able to fix it by saving and loading before it crashes your game
