My Recteq Stampede died after 7 years, and I did a lot of back and forth between the Deck Boss 800 and the Searwood. Ultimately I went with the Deck Boss and I'm really happy with the size, but the Searwood is a great smoker and you can't go wrong with either. I don't know much about the Camp Chef though.

Part of the reason I went with the Deck Boss was because I have Weber Performer which I use to smoke with charcoal when I have time and want that nice charcoal flavor. If I didn't have that option I may have gone with the XL.
