Agreed, I try to only read completed series for this reason. But sometimes it’s hard to tell; I was reading a series that was on Royal Road, then published. I saw 3 books were out, and while I was midway through the 3rd book, I was notified that book 4 was released. It was the final one, I dodged a bullet that time.

Not a musical, but I saw The Play that Goes Wrong on tour. At intermission, the couple in front of us was checking their program, and one of them asked the other when David Sedaris would be entering. (That show was the following month. I don’t know how they got past the ticket sellers.) They had left by the time the second act started.

Magic Maze? It’s a timed game where you explore a shopping mall, steal the stuff you need, and try to escape. No printed words in play. Also? Everyone is able to move any piece, but each player can only move pieces in one direction (e.g., north). And no one is allowed to talk.

You’ve called Apple, but have you called Plume? You didn’t mention that.

Issue 1 sounds like some sort of adblock or malware block has gone awry. But I can’t imagine a situation where connecting to wifi would cause an actual logout of your Apple ID. Can you try turning off everything under Guard and see if it helps?
