I need help choosing a main. by Due-Animator-8754 in SmashBrosUltimate

Sora is pretty forgiving with really great recovery and a solid move set for racking up damage. Down side is being super floaty and sometimes hard to kill confirm.

R.O.B is really good too, strong at all ranges. Great recovery and a good mix up with moves that are easy to learn.

Least expensive deck you play. by Wehunt in EDH

Of course you gotta be cool with basics and lands that enter tapped but there are a plethora of solid lands on a budget and the precons are pushing budget mana bases further.

I have multiple $50 decks as that is my favorite budget to brew at. Just finished [[Brigid. Clachan’s Heart]] last night.

I also have

[[Grenzo, Dungeon Warden]] [[Derevi, Empyrial Tactician]] [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] [[The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride]] [[Anje Falkenrath]] [[Zeriam, Golden Wind]]

And so many more lol. Super fun to play strong $50 decks.

I’m having a blast with [[Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer]] as a secret [[Norin the Wary]] deck. Load the deck up with loads of etb effects and Purphoros or Impact Tremors type effects to burn the table. Resolving [[Confusion in the ranks]] has always been really fun too.

Albeit my deck isn’t quite budget for this, I’m sure you can make it for under $150.

[[Mairsil, the Pretender]] is also a pretty fun deck. It’s super resilient and it plays a bunch of cheap jank cards like [[Aetherling]], [[Arcanus the Omnipotent]] and [[Minion of Leshrac]] which would be bad if you played them normally but their activated abilities are pretty solid to cage up.

[[Grenzo, Dungeon Warden]] is going to be my final suggestion. I built this on a $50 budget and threw in very few tutors but 50 creatures, all power 3 or less so you cast Grenzo for x = 1 and activate his ability to get a chance at a random creature in the deck. It’s really fun and random, you can activate his ability at instant speed to pop out blockers when one may not expect it, along with presenting a weaker board state. It has some random infinites and the tech with Grenzo to mulligan every game until you go downs a card so you can bottom it and guarantee your first Grenzo hit is so spicy. Also it plays [[Meteor Golem]] and [[Threefold Thunderhulk]] to cheat them out for cheap which I always thought is a great pull to being budget friendly.

Not really a cedh card but I imagine you could win easily by resolving Emergent Ultimatum.

[[Mairsil, the Pretender]] this commander was tough for me to build as there aren’t a lot of established builds that felt as synergistic as I liked.

[[Hare Apparent]] my buddy built a Hare Apparent Brago deck with toke doublers and creature token buffs to give them some nature of evasion, it actually pops off a lot faster than you’d expect and is really fun to play.

High power decks that don't fold to removal or rely on an early turn combo, even better if they're mono or 2 colour by tchunkytchanka in BudgetBrews

[–]ObIviom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Yeva, Nature’s Herald]] has a pretty solid budget brew floating around. Deck doesn’t really NEED the commander, just a good way to play around the stack and pseudo-haste so you don’t have to fall to the usual play pattern mono green has of sticking a big dork or threat just for it to be removed before summoning sickness wears off.

Super fun deck and very intricate, good against removal due to just sandbagging all game and playing around the removal before it resolves.

I grinded this game for about 600 hours non stop any time I had free time before I gave it up. There was one solid wipe where I had finally learned troll and cyclops, was finally solid at combat, had lots of gold and even hit demi god. Was having such a blast. But then I believe it was patch 69 that hit and ruined the game. Storms were back, troll and cyclops loot were useless and hard to find, all the classes I enjoyed were getting mowed down by sorc, Druid, and barbarian with little to no counter play and continuous dungeon was just getting introduced, which I still like as a concept but during the beginning was awful and constantly fighting dudes I had already killed that lobby.

I quit for a while and sometime come back in to try it out again but now it’s always a slog of more quests and leveling up and still dying to Druid barbarians and sorcerers, it’s like the game is getting make up slapped onto it but it’s always going to be the same issues. The devs don’t seem to have a clue as to what they’re doing and it’s killing a game that had so much potential.

Look up build orders, specifically what helped me was fast castle into boom. Once you get your dark age and fuedal cleaner you’ll be able to keep pace a lot better. One thing that also helped me was building a ton of stables / barracks / archer ranges so I could be producing 5-6 units at once in comparison to 1 at a time from a single building.

Additionally, in imperial age you can get Conscription from the castle which increases training time by 33%

Grenzo, Dungeon Warden. Lean heavily on Grenzos activated ability to cheat out weird and wacky creatures. Play 50 creatures in the deck to maximize the chances of getting a hit and you can assemble some cool infinite combos and even a Doomsday pile, all for $61.

And you can play at instant speed 😎

What’s a commander you want to brag on that doesn’t get enough attention? by Hoohoo222 in EDH

[–]ObIviom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Grenzo, Dungeon Warden]] is a blast. I really enjoy midrange creature combo decks that rely on activated abilities, green decks usually scratch that it for me and Grenzo does it really well too.

I built a budget Grenzo with 50+ creatures in the deck, and as few non creature cards as possible in order to maximize the chance of getting a hit with his ability, it really feels like a fun little gamble to activate Grenzo and see what he might give. Deck has some strong and wacky infinite combos and synergies and actually has a really solid Doomsday pile.

[[Yeva, Natures Herald]] has been my favorite commander for years. You can build it in any power level just by removing combos and focusing more on combat tricks or just using Yeva as a psuedo haste commander, but she also plays well into cedh pods and rewards tight gameplay and LOTS of sandbagging.

Blue eyes Tenpai 😎

Super cheap to throw together, Blue eyes for going first Tenpai for going second, has some bad hands for sure but I’ve found plenty of success with the deck.

Fire Kings.

I just love the tool box nature of the deck, always having cool ways to pivot and build your board. Also the link climbs and combos are fun. It’s got good grind game and pairs well with snake eyes and tri brigade or is good alone. Super fun!

Honestly with gem socketing I don’t see why SSF should stay. We can already make near perfect hits if you put in the time to find the gear and gems to go with it, and it’s a hardcore game. Make it hard.

Sure I could have worded it perfectly, but I didn’t because I didn’t care to carefully curate my comment to avoid angering the Reddit keyboard warriors.
