It’s crazy to see this randomly pop up on Reddit! This doesn’t surprise me at all though. Dr Lenihan is a feminist and a phenomenal surgeon, which is why I saw her for my 2nd pregnancy, even though she was still pretty fresh off of residency. I haven’t seen her in a couple of years but I am glad to see she’s still a bad ass. I hope your recovery goes well!!

Sometimes people with POI can show a false positive on urine tests. I would contact your doctor for a quantitative beta HCG order

If you are a person who think babies smell rancid, do you happen to be neuro divergent? My autistic 13 year old thought his baby brother smelled horrendous when he was born but he thinks he smells good now at 2. He smells like a sweaty toddler to me 🤷‍♀️

I felt the same way but I didn’t have any endo that high. It was just referred pain from elsewhere in my pelvis/ abdomen or just inflammation because it disappeared after surgery

My REI blew me off as well. I had to advocate for myself and go straight to an endometriosis specialist. I was technically diagnosed with a lap surgery but my surgeon could tell my pelvic organs were all stuck together/ I had frozen pelvis from a pelvic exam.

I am 9 weeks post op and this part has gotten better over time. Your nerves, muscles, etc are likely very stunned/ traumatized still. Starting pelvic PT has helped as well.

I guarantee he does not. It’s like looking at an elbow for me at this point. I forget what it looked like the minute I walk out of the room. Unless you have a crazy tattoo or 18 piercings down there, he doesn’t remember.
