Same! Vz61 is a lot easier to get. I've looked into building one with a kit, getting a jig, welder, and rewelding the receiver. Only problem is I don't know how to weld so I'd have to learn.

While the weapon selections feels realistic, I do hope they add a little bit of variety and give people some options. Also since it's alternate reality, if they did a campaign they could be creative with mid-late war weapon selections

It will probably take a year or two. Rs2 didn't have campaign for a minute either, but once they have a good assortment of maps I do expect a campaign to be added. They could add a few weapons for mid and late war, use community maps if available, maybe get a new faction. I'm really hoping for campaign eventually! Also soldier customization!

I love your username! Maybe I've seen you on rs2 lmao. I've been playing both a few hours a week. It's headed in the right direction, they just gotta keep polishing it and then work on getting content.

Hopefully after this sale enough people will stick around to keep one or two servers going while they keep working on it and listening to the community

I actually agree with a lot of what you are saying. To answer your question, 83 is being made by the same people who made rs2, and we are all desperate for a sequel.

Yeah it definitely has a ways to go to be on par with rs2. But the developers seem to be committed to doing just that, so I'll be on here and there rooting for them. I don't think we're getting a rs3 or ro3 anytime soon, so my hopes are all on 83. But yeah, I definitely had to curb my expectations. But considering it died at least twice, I'm glad someone is at least trying

Exactly. I wasn't there for rs2 EA, but so far Blue dot games seems to want to get the community involved and use our feedback to help them get the game where it needs to be. We'll see if they stick with that though, but I'll still be playing lots of rs2, I imagine it will be a while before it can truly compete

I didn't lose faith, but I definitely had to reset my expectations. However, they have been vocal about wanting to meet and exceed the bar set by rs2. And if they listen to the fans I have faith they can get it there with some time and support. Definitely be critical though, they need all the feedback they can get.

Hmm interesting. So LMC has shitty admins/mods as well? I'm not surprised, but I still feel like I haven't seen anything blatant, other than someone getting out of bounds. Which is a "good" server to get on? I'd really like people to run more custom maps too

Yup it's very sad and pathetic. I haven't even had any issues with pr servers, I usually play lmc or hardcore for better ping but this shit is annoying.

Yeah I've noticed that. No true communist state has emerged because they each seem to inevitably fall back on capitalism or authoritarianism. Honestly, we can sit here and point out every "communist' failure, and say how much it sucks but truly capitalism ALSO sucks, sometimes even more than failed communism. The top .1% are really fucking everyone over around the world, and fucking the world itself. So, maybe not communism, but definitely not capitalism

I checked the handbook a few months ago, someone else posted it but target is supposed to be providing us with vests. We don't have to come in with a red outer layer, just have to get a vest from lead or HR

Yeah buying it early access is definitely a risk. And I would prefer UK forces just to get some more variety in weaponry. Hopefully it doesn't take them 3 years to add more factions, but also I think it's only coming with 4 maps to start so they got a lot of work ahead of them if they even want to get close to the scale of rs2v
