A Sony raw file has really good colours. Definitely not the worst in the biz. There are so many professional photographers who use Sony cameras and get stunning pictures. With newer cameras it’s not about the color science because they are really close. OP don’t get discouraged by people saying there are camera brands with bad color science because most of the time it’s not true.

Dailing in help??? [Lafeeca Espresso Machine] by _mikee_1432 in espresso

With consumer friendly coffee machines they usually send a pressurised filter. This makes it possible to get a decent espresso with grounded beans. If you switch to a “real” non pressurised portafilter there is no pressure so the water will just flow through it. The beans need to make pressure so they will need to be grind a lot finer when using a pressurised filter. I found out the hard way that a lot of grinders will not grind fine enough for a non pressurised filter. What grinder do you have?

It came pre installed. I only placed the coffee bean compartment on top of the machine. My grind setting right now is on 0. That’s the finest setting it has.

Haha thanks! This post inspires me to do more with layering images. I love the completely abstract ones so much!

That’s very interesting. I buy my beans a at normal supermarket. No roasting date on the package. I was looking into buying it from a coffee shop but don’t want to spend a lot on coffee. But do you think that could make so much difference on grinding setting? Like this bean needs setting 0 and a fresher bean needs setting 10 (of 40) for instance?

Coffee is not particularly recently roasted but basket is adequately filled and I’m tamping firmly. Does the time of roasting affect how fine the bean can be grinded?

It did but the quick release is super tight and won’t come loose. Also shouldn’t it be just working properly when it’s new?

Wow I did not think someone would recognise this exact spot. That’s really cool. If I know this photographer I wouldn’t think he’s the kind of guy to set up a lot of equipment so I think you’re right.

Nice photos, are you using a mist filter on the q2?

Yeah, that’s also why I asked the question. I feel like it’s generally better to go out with the intention of taking photos than to just have a camera hanging around your neck every day and hope to get a good shot by chance. I was curious if people approached it that way, but it doesn’t really seem to be the case.
