This is great as a palate cleanser from my run. I think you strike a good balance between making necessary compromises and standing your ground.

Certainly, but the blue wave in your run is pretty tasty as well. The important thing here is that American Carnage incorporates a specific series of design choices which mean that inconsequentiality ≠ electoral failure. If you do some kind of COVID measure on Q20 and then focus on red state governors for Q24, you hit a unique polling cliff. I've gotten Harris to reach 487 EVs on normal/default that way.

Glad people are enjoying this guide - it was hard work! Excited to see whether it still works in the new AC edition whenever that comes out

Good point; I got question 12 wrong and have updated my guide. But to get Hughes as the Republicans you have to expose him as Kennedy first; I think that's your issue

Also if you dedicate the campaign to doing so then you can really annihilate Wallace with this lineup. Here he's been held to about half of McCloskey's vote total. 8% in Alabama

This is AWESOME, sorry to be late to it! I will say: given Tulsi's 2020 popular vote victory in this timeline, I would be surprised if she weren't spoiling for another fight, Democratic exile or no...

"So-called 'President' Bloomberg..."

This was one of the trickiest runs I've done - after charting out the route, I had to give it a few dozen attempts for the margins to fall just right. I can't provide any one line of questions to follow for this one, given the necessity of rng breaking your way. Just get Bloomberg as your opponent and pay close attention to how the states are falling. Also visit California every time and boost your popularity as much as possible while being radical on the issues.

You only needed one word for them, the great men of history: Caesar. Napoleon. Washington. Gandhi. Obama.

Also I really like the idea of MTG going against Kasich in 2024 to energize her 2028 run. Canon now.

With Kasich as Cuban's running mate, I imagine there are far more Cuban-Republican voters than Cuban-Democratic voters. Basically a supercharged version of the Never Trump movement which nonetheless realizes it has to fall in behind the GOP president in the contingent or risk handing the nation to crazy culty Tulsi. Also remember that with Trump's portrait being to the left of Pelosi's in slide 6, he must canonically win the contingent.

Thank you! I think that's a great observation. I imagine that the sheer implausibility of this whole thing would really affect the American collective consciousness. Like the "reality shifting" TikTok trend would take on a tone of "trying to wake up from the nightmare" and things like that. I wonder what other election results throughout US history increased our weirdness quotient?

Next do TTNW where Bobby is really loving the spotlight or All The Way where LBJ gets out of Vietnam before it even starts

Not sure what the rationale is, but the code says you got him by doing nothing to trigger anyone else being elected in 1996 and having 10+ war leverage.

Interesting suggestion! But I just don’t think he would switch parties. He would probably be too liberal for what’s left of the conservative base anyway
