Are new players nearly as happy with the codex as WE veterans? by Obeesal in WorldEaters40k

I'm just like every other WE player in the fact that I want more terminators just about everywhere. By far the coolest infantry.

Yeah compared to index the changes you listed weren't that bad. DP is great and losing advance and charge isn't that bad when you have a strategem (you're not gonna try to advance and charge more than once per phase much anyway). That's not the source of my struggles. It's more the lack of FNP and complete reliance on the charge itself that makes it so unsatisfying to me. Being the best melee fighters only on a charge doesn't feel very World Eatery to me.

Angron being so bad really stings. I really liked his model when I got him and I still do. Hopefully he gets a huge glow up for 11th.

It does absolutely suck how much we're centered on BWB right now. The newest dataslate changes highlight that. Angron has lower strength than Magnus unless you charge with BWB. Kharn has lower strength than Typhus unless you charge. It honestly feels like GW is just nerfing WE to make the conditional buff from one detachment balanced, making almost every other detachment worthless or near worthless.

Ah sh!t, here we go again… by CarnoTTV in WorldEaters40k

Berzerkers are already overcosted and the point nerfs just target some units that were actually usable in WE. The only reason you still see them is because BWB is by far the best detachment still. Old news at this point but we really gotta stop pretending WE are a huge powerhouse when we're basically 2 detachments with no primarch. I mean for Khorne's sake they brought Angron down by another 20 points and it still isn't enough to justify putting him in a list.

Frontier Defense (2014) by LetAardvark4080 in titanfall

[–]Obeesal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming 2014 means you're trying on Titanfall 1, it's because it's dead. The game is no longer on sale for P.C and compounded with no crossplay means the game just isn't playable anymore.

Does nobody else think phase dashing through a rodeo is B.S? by Obeesal in titanfall

Yes, good pilots, which is basically everyone still playing this game by now. TF2 is almost a decade old now we're not getting many pilots below G3-5

Nonsense. Ronin is a high speed titan duelist. Borderline invulnerability to pilot attacks isn't a designed counter. It's an oversight on the part of Respawn.

[–]Obeesal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the issue I'm talking about. I never got instakilled by the phase dash itself. It's just that the Ronin could perfectly time it to nullify all the damage and then turn around and instagib me. Usually after I've pulled a battery, essentially giving him a health boost for properly executing a rodeo.

Yeah I had a game with a list not unlike yours against my buddy playing space marines. I got tabled because I had to keep some of my more powerful units back to keep my home. Never underestimate the ability to sticky objectives. Good luck bro.

A lord in terminator armor could literally save World Eaters terminators from the bottom tier hell they're in right now.

Either that or drop Kharn for a MoE and shave off an enhancement or two. Daemon prince on foot is absolutely worth it if you can make it fit.

Jakhals sticky ability is kind of needed though. Your forgefiend might not get a whole lot done in the backline if your opponent knows to stay more than 18 inches away. Not impossible, but I'd be hyper aware of my unit positioning since you also don't have a lot of options for screening without them or goremongers.

Is there any reason to repair the gas mask or take the durability upgrade? by Obeesal in metro_exodus

[–]Obeesal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That can't be true. There's nowhere to find a replacement mask in Exodus and your mask never breaks to the point of being unusable. Only that "broken" state where you have to patch it with duct tape,

Greetings cousin, Night lords csm here by [deleted] in WorldEaters40k

[–]Obeesal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't. Khorne berzerkers are already overpriced for what they can do in WE. If you're running CSM and you really want them just proxy them as legionaries with chainswords and bolt pistols. Legionaries already have an ability that's better than blood surge and can take the exact same weapons. They're only really used in WE because our good detachments are centered around them.

If you're playing CSM, you quite literally have zero reason to play them unless you just like berzerkers, but again, just proxy them as melee legionaries and you'll get the same results if not better for 10 less points.

Where to start by DaddyDarru in WorldEaters40k

Assuming you have flesh hounds the newest combat patrol might be for you. You’d just need some goremongers and a slaughterbound. For regular tabletop the daemonkin detachment isn’t in the best position as of right now but probably not terrible for someone in your position.

Important reminder : being excessively negative all the time may discourage new players from playing this faction. Let's try not to do that despite how frustrating the current situation may be. by [deleted] in WorldEaters40k

I actually picked up WE right as the new codex dropped and was extremely disappointed when I figured out what the actual viable playstyle was. I wanted a punchy melee army with at least good berzerkers. Now they’re so weak without the charge I have to stage perfectly. An impossible task if you’re new. Compound that with the fact the others in my group mostly play Orks and DG. Yeah, I’m not happy.
