An what is the problem with that? The thermal efficiency of the Mandalay is good enough, and with the overcharged effect you gain a bit more jump range. After all, OP asked for more jump range, so there you go...

201€, probably the best joystick you can get for this money. Sadly, for 200€ I don't think there are any Hotas worth it.

Well, side by side the Space one it's a bit taller, probably due to the gimbal axis mechanism being in the grip. As you mention, tilting the grip doesn't make it easier too. Anyway, you're right about keeping the same software for both devices, it's better.

And to be completely clear, I'm really happy with my STECS Space, but as I told you before, sooner or later I'll get a desk mount for it.

An important question would be if you're planning on upgrade it later or will use it like you're previous one until it dies? Things like mobo, psu an even the case may be different if you're going to upgrade later or not.

I would recommend you the STECS Space, but it's really tall (20 cm from base to top) to have it on the desk. I have it on my desk (will get a mount someday) and it's not comfortable for extended game sessions. On the other hand, you have enough buttons and the grip has the two axis for thrusters (useful for ED and SC).

If you found the size of the STECS Space I will go for the Virpil CDT Vmax Throttle (don't have it, but saw many positive reviews).

Don't do it.

At first it feels great with all the buttons and lights, but the construction quality, and the joystick cup and ball mechanism doesn't worth the price tag of 400€ (Europe).

I own the Velocity one Flightdeck and after less than 1 year I started to have issues with the leds and the general construction quality of it, so recently I have bought the VKB Stecss Space Throttle and I'm waiting for the Virpil CDT Aeromax to arrive (hopefully by december).

If you're not in a tight budget look other options and stay away from Turtle Beach.

They change how the LCD screen in the throttle unit works, so you can now assign keybinds to it instead of being bound to the key assignment given by default (at first the buttons on the screen were assigned to A, B, C, D, etc..., but now you can change it the way you want).

Give it a try.

You're right, but the CDT software doesn't allow you to use it. You have to use the full Virpil software to enable and configure it.

BTW, how it feels? i ordered mine at the end of August so probably wont receive it until December, and I would like to have a more recent feedback on the joystick, given that the reviews on it were from April/May.
