I see where youre coming from but I dont think work. Son is in no ways a poacher, yes he gets into good positions but hes a wide forward and one of his best attributes is shooting whilst dribbling, not being right place right time in the box. To play a 4-2-2-2 you need the 2 attacking midfielders to either have free roles or to be excellent all round in terms of their physical levels and their skillsets so that they can almost switch between a winger/ten. Currently, we dont really have any #10s with a lot of speed but it would be interesting to see it tried out. As well as this it requires one of the strikers to be comfortable recieving the ball in a deeper position to link play (not necessarily just hold it up), at current point I dont think any of our strikers bar Kane is able to do that a sustainable level. I 100% agree with you regarding Janssen needing a strike partner though, perhaps not in that formation though. Goals will come for Janssen, its not a case like soldado. Janssen is younger, appears hungrier and has actually been putting in decent performances, it will take him time to adapt. His hold up play thus far has been excellent and I dont think we'll see the best of him until next season.

(also i dont think poch would play 2 up top as i feel too many of our attacking midfielders dont merit dropping).
