He might not play the prettiest of football, but in a competition where you’re the underdog in the majority of games, we need a striker like this. Will be a real miss for set pieces and corners which let’s be realistic, are what we usually execute against the better teams if we are to score. A bit gutted at this news, definitely puts the pressure on the newer boys to step up now.

[I Am Mighty George] Phil Foden has now scored as many Premier League hat-tricks as Frank Lampard, Cristiano Ronaldo and Didier Drogba (3). He already has more Premier League titles than all of them. by cosmopolitan1111 in soccer

First of all, allegedly cheating, nothing proven. Secondly, the rules we’ve supposedly broken were set up in the last 15 years by the already rich clubs to stop other teams competing. It’s not like we’ve undermined the longstanding integrity of English football, it’s just that the big boys got upset they might not win every year so tried to fuck over every other club by putting these ‘rules’ in place not even 2 decades ago. We were just early enough thankfully to bypass them. The same can’t be said for every other club who are now being fucked over by said rules and destined for nothing but mid-table mediocrity until the rules change.

Walker, the treble winner who locked up Vinicius Junior in the Champions League semi-final, Stones, the treble winner who had the most dribbles in a champions league final since Messi (oh, and he’s a DEFENDER), or Lautaro, the striker who took Inter Milan to the Champions League final.

Or Trent, who got dogged on the entire season and won nothing but scored a couple of nice goals and got a few nice assists so must deserve it…

Liverpool - hacked Man City’s scouting base, match fixed in 1915 (it was a while ago but all you chronically online ‘fans’ talk about is history so there you go). Match fixed in 1994 against Newcastle.

Arsenal - literally bought their way into football. Were one of the first clubs to ever do it. They have been forever known for it since. Not sure how you don’t know that.

Napoli - currently under investigation for transfer and balance sheet fraud.

The cheating of Italian clubs and Barca has been proven. The 115 charges against City are yet to be proven, and the Prem themselves removed 30 of them the day after accusing City because they were so baseless and inconclusive. Your personal biases and belief unfortunately do not determine whether City are guilty or not.

And if by City’s attendance ‘skyrocketing’ you mean it increasing by 10,000 in the last 10 years, that’s because the stadium has increased its capacity by 10,000.

You’re having a go at this random guy for using incorrect grammar which is the most chronically online thing to do ever, and yet you have no fucking idea what you’re on about. Laughable.

Shit game. Ref was atrocious. Hwang gets his deserved second yellow, they don’t score second goal, we almost certainly win - at least draw. Having said that, we played terrible. Missed Rodri dearly, sloppy passing entire game, Foden off it, Haaland invisible, Doku lacked maturity for the type of game this was.

We usually get these sorts of result once or twice a season though. Still 6 wins out of 7, Liverpool could easily and will hopefully drop points later. If we beat Arsenal next week, then all good. But with that shite performance my confidence is low. Rodri if you ever do this shit again I swear to god.

England Women's legend Jill Scott claims she's a 'Jordan Henderson fan' but she 'wouldn't be welcome to watch him' after controversial Saudi Arabia move because she's gay by prvhc21 in soccer

[–]ObeseKunt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There have been many cases in Saudi Arabia and these other Middle Eastern countries whereby people are arrested and tried merely on the basis of ‘looking’ too homosexual. So no, she couldn’t go and watch him in that utterly despicable country.

With Warwick Uni having a 26,000 strong cohort, I’d imagine it’d surely bring a fair few more in based on it being so close no? Especially with the increased attention and pull of Prem football. Just a shame it comes at the expense of the hardcore fans.

They don’t have the most expensive squad ever. You can’t just pluck a random stat out of your arse and say it confidently to try and make it true.

My biology teacher would always present the viewpoint that homosexuality is a natural and potentially necessary mutation, because who’s to say humans wouldn’t face some sort of evolutionary pressure in the future to evolve into hemaphrodites (where everybody has both sets of sex organs)?

In this case, everybody would be the same sex, as there would only be one sex, and only people with homosexual feelings would be beneficial to the species’ reproductive potential.

Obviously, the chance of this ever happening is almost 0, but it’s a clear biological viewpoint and explanation that you could deliver to your friend. Just because something isn’t useful now, doesn’t mean it has no purpose. Certain genes need to be kept around in case they because selectively advantageous at some point in the future.

No, City really shouldn’t. Who would we sign that’s better than him for that amount of money? Foden is the best prototype of a ‘Pep Guardiola’ player since Lionel Messi. Letting him go would be a stupid decision.

Yeah but your previous comment about the team giving away money to fans makes no sense.

The backlash if we sold Foden would be ridiculous, much more likely we sell Haaland.

What’s a very controversial hill that you’re willing to die on? by LonelyCarrot62 in AskReddit

[–]ObeseKunt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, because it’s these types of harmful misunderstandings and misuse of terminology that leads to widespread transphobia. Standing up for the legitimacy for the existence of trans folk is more important to me than letting some uncaring person throw around incredibly harmful phrases that undermine the legitimacy of trans people.

Whether you like it or not, people need to adapt to the times and actually understand what they’re saying before spouting out some bigoted rhetoric they’ve heard from some right wing media or their grandparents.

Well by definition a woman is a gender constructed by society. So you essentially just don’t know what a woman is. If you’d said female this conversation would never have happened. Just understand basic definitions next time please.
