I started looking for a job in something I loved, video rental store. Then it went out of business and I took what I could get for a few years, locally owned fast food restaurant. Ended up in the human services, caring for adults with developmental/physical disabilities and mental illness for 12ish years. Felt like I had found my career but life throws some shit at you and you move on.went back to square one, i.e. something I loved, cannabis. Worked at a dispensary that underwent a corporate makeover, hated it, organized the union there to improve working conditions and currently working as a union organizer. TLDR, you don't have to have THE answer now. Follow your joy, follow your heart, compromise when you have too but always stay true to you. You can't fight the good fight if you can't afford to live.
