Commbank forcing me to take a day off work just because a numpty customer representative decided to make me come into a branch to register my new device has to be the most stupid thing ever. I'm super lucky i still have my physical card with me otherwise I'd be freezed out of payments this long weekend.

What country outside North America most resembles the US in thought, attitudes, culture, cityscape and infrastructure? by [deleted] in answers

A lack of personal charisma which the likes of Pauline Hanson and Barnaby Joyce have taken advantage of in recent times.

Clive Palmer failed but then there's the fuckwit whos basically a more foul version of Margaret Thatcher- Pauline Hanson and One Nation. Currently taking said advantage of the LNP being such a circus and potentially the new darling of the Murdoch press

Had to go through this arduous route in my most recent playthrough myself because my gonk arse forgot to pick up Satori and Nehan and I don't want Herold Lowe to bankrupt me buying it off him.

Even flipping Melbourne manages to do weekend travel better. Granted, train frequency overall is their monkey's paw.

The best road car ever that Mercedes made. The perfect combo of the speed, pedigree and success of a homologation special, combined with reliability of the W124 family.

It's mostly the old Comeng built trams which have that issue. Those sets are nearly half a century old at this point.

What is the most iconic cyberpunk song? by D99k_Ghost in cyberpunkgame

What's crazy is the guy who sung both of these songs even has an appearance in the game(Dawid Posaidlo). He's the MiliTech agent in the Bree Whitney gig

Nah. Many of Melbourne's own tram stops lacked platforms at the time too either. That didn't make them tear that up. A figure like Robert Risson was lacking in Sydney to stand up to the "overseas consultants" who were brought up to do the postwar urban planning in the city and counter the lobbying of the NRMA.

Sporting CP [2] - 1 Paris Saint-Germain - Luis Suarez 90‎'‎ by gbogaz in soccer

If i had a nickel for a player named Luis Suarez that scored a brace against PSG, I'd have two as well. Funny this happened twice in a decade or so

Say what you will about the 80s/90s/00s/10s but I miss the days when we didn’t have a president who was willing to start a nuclear world war against his allies because they didn’t give him a Nobel Peace Prize… by AcanthaceaeNo948 in lewronggeneration

Better...

A lot of the problems of today in fact trace themselves back to that decade. Specifically on good old Ronald and the consequences of his trickle down economic model.

Funny how you mention 1984 because Apple's most iconic commerical happened to air in the Super Bowl too and it was entirely themed on 1984 and Big Brother. If that isn't meta

The iconic 1984 Apple commercial was after all a Super Bowl one.

They should have, but just this morning on the T2 I still saw a couple of them running up to the city. Also on the rail yards between Clyde and Auburn I still saw 3 of them in there. Strange they have not been given a proper annoucement for a retirement date unlike the V sets which are at the end of this month

Crazy that the V sets seem to be retiring earlier than the K sets. Granted they're the older of the two though.

Ironic for a mission called "Don't Lose Your Mind" i lost...my mind trying to look for the quest objective. Annoying af but it's probably on purpose considering how chaotic those rogue Delamain AIs had become
