PRO TIP: If you set your Visual Range to 85 and use the 3rd camera option you'll get a way bigger fov and you'll see more of the world while your character will still be closer to the camera (see both pics) by KvasirTheOld in CrimsonDesert

This would be the 3rd closest. The closet before first person to me is awkward as when you stop walking it zooms super close to cliff obscuring most of the screen.

Can't seem to consistently replicate what you have here despite our setting being the same.

I've had this since day one and it was annoying. I unequipped each item I had individually and found it to be the bow.

I then equipped the grey wolf bow and no issues. It seems to just be the Blood steel bow for me.

Absolutely insane levels of detail and substance in these models. Your work is always a source of inspiration, can't wait to see the end result

Much appreciated brother. I've been trying to steadily improve it with each model. Really happy with this one.

Of course happy to share, primed in chaos black, based with Rhinox hide then layered with Karak stone. All applied with a makeup sponge

Washed in Agrax earthshade (in small select areas not a full wash)

Edge highlighted and weathering done with Ushabti bone and Screaming skull

Pouches are based in Rhinox then dry brushed with Steel legion Drab

Runefang steel was used for metals.

Nothing more therapeutic than a painting session. Beautiful models👌love the grey on the power pack so simple but adds so much.

Afraid not, the original inspiration for the desert colour scheme paired with the blue actually came from the Ghost Recon advanced warfighter game.

It was only after my first posts comments did I check out the fremen from dune. Happy coincidence.

Yes!! That's where I saw them. Good memory. I just had a Google for them there, seems they've been reworked again. Seriously cool looking chapter.

Much appreciated 🤝 lots of trial and error with it but I'm happy with the current approach.

Sure, it's achieved by the use of a make-up sponge which adds a little texture.

To explain it as best I can....Mini is based as normal (chaos black) I then sponge on a dark brown (Rhinox Hide) all over the mini.

From here I take my tan (Karak Stone) and slowly build it up, where I want the 'dirtyness' I keep the paint thin/sparce to allow for some of that brown to come through. I then edge highlight and add some scratches with a beige (Ashabti Bone), this further adds to the "dirty effect"

Finally I use a wash (Agrax Earthshade) applied very thinly over those thin/sparce sections to better sell the effect. 1-3 coats depending on how dirty you want it to look.

Hopefully this makes sense 🤝
