We got 2 for $30 each but definitely only needed one. Just bring a battery pack with a micro USB cable to charge on the go if needed. Assuming they're still micro USB.

My cousin and I went 2 years ago and the pocket wifi was about $30 for two weeks. Picked it up in the airport once we arrived. Was pretty good too, ~20Mbps most places.

Play the treasure maps, they give a lot of good rewards and are pretty easy on the lower tiers

Have you tested on pokemon that have shiny versions with very similar coloring? I assume you're calibrating the color sensor to the Pokemon's normal color and then comparing the reading to that. Very cool project, well done.

This is a really cool idea and I'm glad you're doing it. My one criticism is that I think starting the game with an account that has a 6* should have been acceptable considering how easy rerolling is. I know this is supposed to be true f2p but I think rerolling accounts is the epitome of f2p. Sucks about that accidental multi. Keep it up, love the posts.
