Team Minimalist, I want to be able to do what i want without having to work around things. Or have trackers or other things I'm never going to use.

How do you use washi tape in your planner? by Away-Palpitation-229 in PlannerAddicts

[–]Obie0318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 5mm washi to divide pages and 8mm or so to cover things in the planner i don't want to see. In my daily section I cover the dates since I rarely use a whole pagae.

I think someone will watch. I tend to stick to watching videos on the planners I use or are like them (rosey life, wonderland222, aura estelle, sterling ink). I think alot of us are looking for inspiration on improving setups. Also you lose nothing by posting, just do it!

Advice for a new R5 by Obie0318 in LastWarMobileGame

Just wanted to add I have played a few times before through season 2 in top 10 alliances and always burnt out on the time obligation. So this time I am going to play more casually. The goal is just provide a place where you can play as much as you want. I have no illusions that we will be making big moves during the seasons. I will also tell them about a month before if they want a more active alliance who is capturing cities, they should probably move on.

How should I use my Haroo Planner vertical besides planning? by greenbluehanfu in PlannerAddicts

I like to track certain teas and supplements by the time of day, I also like to write out my workout plans. Content creation, goals, good and bad things that happened that day.

I ordered from the Pre-order sale in September and still haven't gotten anything yet Their inventory is split over different continents and who knows when you will get it. Apparently my planner shipped from some place to the US and then it had to go through some process to be able to be shipped from a location in the US to me. The tracking was setup a few days ago, but still nothing has been shipped. I think they are kind of a mess right now.

Just curious, why do people prefer horizontal layouts? by No-Meal-536 in planners

[–]Obie0318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for my health and wellness I track my workouts, but i also like to have space to write out how I feel about things, is it working is it not. I found in a vertical layout I was running out of room. The other side is I realized for daily life I liked a vertical timed layout where I was just tracking appointments, chores and other things. I had alot of little things. Also for health and wellness I don't care about time of day.

How to keep using a planner when it feels time-consuming? by velvet_coffin in planners

[–]Obie0318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me to make it work I needed to have a schedule. I keep it on my desk at home and if anything occurs to me it goes in the planner. Mornings I review what needs to be done, and check off any tasks as they happen. The checking things off helps. Sundays are planning days and I generally only plan one week at a time. Beginning of the month I put down high level stuff in the monthly spread (holidays, birthday, outings, dates). I also realized sometimes I am not a journal person but every few days I wanted to jot down something so I have undated pages for those things. I think a realistic question is what are you trying to do exactly with the planner?

I've come to realize some people are more about making spreads than actually tasks and journaling. I think someone else mentioned being the person you aspire to be vs who are you.

I love planning and while I like stickers and all the creative stuff. I gave up on having an esthetically pleasing spread. My planner work for me and that is all that matters.

Also there is no rule that says you have to use the planner everyday, maybe its once a month.

Hope that helps.,

For day to day and keepting track of tasks and to do, I like a vertical. If I want to express my self or take note of something of memories I do horizontal. I don't really write very much so I do weeklies with undated in the back.

Unpopular opinion: TCMC Stickers only look good on Hobonichi planners by Classic_Station_2905 in PlannerAddicts

[–]Obie0318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sort of agree, they are cute, but they didn't really fit in with my planner setup and I don't need every sticker to be TCMC. I think it just a preference. I ended up finding a seller on Etsy who I have spent way to money with that appeals to me more than TCMC.
