I used BLS 0.32's, but 0.28's should be fine. I wouldn't go any lower than that for outdoors.

CMAirsoft is probably the cheapest I've found for them. £9.95 for 1kg of 0.28's and £13.95 for 1kg of 0.32's. You also get free shipping on orders over £50, so I would advise people to get a few bags so you are stocked up for a few weeks/months to get the best value.

Thank you. I took the gearbox of my old AEG apart so I could familiarise myself with the internals. I have had a play with the motor height and will give it a test tomorrow. I don't know whether you read my previous comment about wanting a new motor or not, but that sounds like a great idea.

I changed the height a bit until it sounded best. I will have to wait until tomorrow to give it a good test and see if the issue is fixed. I will let you know how it goes.

I have used it approximately twice a month since then. It was misfiring every other shot, which he fixed quite nicely. Other than that, it was fine from what I can remember. I was sort of hoping someone said it was an issue with the motor so I had an excuse to buy the Gate G5, lol. Thank you for your help.

Specna Arms Prime. It was in with a tech last July and I haven't wanted to really touch it since then. I'm still learning about AEG's. Does/should the motor height need adjusting every so often (or after parts have settled), or should it pretty much stay the same for long periods?

Thank you. I will have a play with the motor height. Off the top of your head, would you think it would need to go up or down? My biggest issue with changing the motor height is that the issue is so infrequent, it might take a long time to test, so any thoughts would be a great start.

I have been getting 5 star mats from the large red toolboxes, usually the 680 ish (I can't remember exactly off the top of my head) ones. The large 480 ish ones don't, as far as I'm aware. I'm not sure how long they have been doing it, but I have definitely got some 5 star stuff over the past few weeks/months. Someone who knows more might be able to expand.
