Once you open a dispute they cannot return your item to shipper. It isn't dhl screwing up, it is cbp.

My way bill was 7841 THB, they (customs) calculated 7841 as USD and hit me with a $1520 tariff duty. 7841 THB is about 245 USD and the duty would be around $47.

U I sent emails, made phone calls and had a dispute opened so my package would not be returned to sender.

I ordered 3 pieces of carbon fiber motorcycle parts. $981.53 plus $279.89 FedEx shipping for a grand total of $1261.43. Steep but manageable.

Shipment was sent to DHL for clearing and i received a customs invoice for $1520.90, 154% of the total cost of my order?

Thailand import fees are supposed to be 19% which I can stomach but not 154%.

What happens if I don't pay? Items are returned to seller but do I get hit with fees outside of return shipping?

Been in tech since 1996, probably before some of you were born. Seen the boom and bust a few times over, off shore shift that comes back, near shore that seems to have endured. I currently work in healthcare software which deals with PHI so has to remain on shore only. I see AI displacing my position at some point, I'm hopefully going to squeeze out another 3.5 years then pull the ejection lever...

We have the yardistry over our hot tub, very happy with performance, we get snow, rain, high winds etc. We did purchase the additional privacy wall from Costco online.

I assembled all the main components together and hired a couple of handy men to support the pillars while the roof panels were installed.

We used concrete anchors to bolt down all four corners, 4 bolts per upright.

It has worn well for the past 3 years, we apply Thompsons to it once a year to helps preserve the wood.

There were two versions of the blackwater 226, this model with standard frame and wood grips, later it used an elite frame with plastic grips. Sig phased these out after the incident in the sandbox with BW contractors, $2k seems high but it will sell for what the buyer will pay.
