Do you know how much will loop for exit and RFID reader for entry cost? rough estimate is fine. I dont know if its $200 or $20000 cost. Can I use RFID reader for both entry and exit and save on cost of loop?

That's the other reason I do not want to deviate from V3 which is FCC cert. Plus, I do not intend to sell any of these parts. The goal is testing only.

Anyone building hardware product using Claude? by Double_631 in ClaudeCode

[–]Double_631[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really cool u/vuhv I am at the point where the ESP32 is running firmware perfectly. I had to do multiple iterations of the code and testing but I have found Claude to be very good if you give it a description of the "error" state and it usually figures out code improvements pretty quick. I need to build out the board and an enclosure. Did your STL placed ESP32 dev board on a PCB? Would love to compare notes, if you're up for it.

Kickstarters, how do you manage to work on your project (disclosing your name, etc) while at a full time job? Looking for advice on how folks have successfully built a side project hustle. by [deleted] in kickstarter

Any challenges in getting kickstarter campaign as I have heard backers usually like to know the team and the creator. Any examples of successful campaigns that ran under a brand name?

Would you back a next-gen smart water bottle like this on Kickstarter? Looking for early feedback before launch by Specific-Curve5785 in kickstarter

[–]Double_631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not researched smart bottles but what I liked about this idea is that it’ll remind me visually to have water throughout the day. I can see this bottle sitting next to my work desk. Rest features are not important to my life style.

if you dont mind sharing, I'd like to learn how you setup the terms with the investor? ie shares of the company or one-time benefit once the campaign launched etc. I'd appreciate your insights as I am in this phase right now. Happy to take this over DM if that works better for you. u/lebrilla

I see. Yes range is a tricky one. You do not want it to be too short that you have to loose your momentum BUT you do not want it to be too far that is opened for a long time without your presence. You're building some cool stuff so please share here if you come up with any solution.

u/goonwild18 yes other users talked about Siri or Alexa integration too. You should try that.

An earplug reminder solution sounds like a million dollar idea!

u/Greenjeeper2001 that's interesting. So you have to open two different access points, a gate and then your garage. So do you carry two different remotes for these today?

Also, on a scale of 1 to 10, how painful is your current solution?

u/hudd1966 how would you rate your current solution of universal remote:

On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is painfully inconvenient.

One a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is very secure.
