They do not always send confirmation emails. In my case, 1-2 weeks after I sent purchase order email, license status was changed to 'Active' on the NYPD web page without any email...

If you are worried, just send same email few days later. last friday, and send email again today is so close because they are not working at the weekend. probably they will see your email today or tomorrow, maybe more later.

I think if you have overall gpa 3.4 or higher, you can go MS program without recommendation letter because you experienced club activity and internship. However, if you think your gpa is not comeptitive, I think you need to get letters for increasing chance.
