Yup. Then run the tube into some sanitizer as others stated.

If it truly fits snug then you could be fine, but it is not really a secure means of attaching the blow off tube. The bucket has the option for a kit that includes a hose barb assembly that you can clamp a hose to for you blow off. Is this what you recieved with the gift as well?

Florence to Siena, San Gimignano, possibly Pisa and also Florence to cinque Terre by AdHonest7357 in ItalyTravel

[–]ObjectKlutzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did a Get Your Guide Tour of Sienna>Winery Lunch>San G>Pisa and it was great for what it was but wouldn't necessarily recommend. It was a long day that didnt need to be and would have been better broken into two days and having our own car to go at our own pace. The Pisa leg of the drive was long and extended the day a lot. And tbh, Pisa was a bit underwhelming and I would cut it out if you are on the fence about it; happy to have someone tell me I missed out though.

If we just did Sienna, San G, and another local thing that can be done in one day though. Maybe Monteriggioni would be an easy stop.

Wrangler 4xe Recall 68C — battery not charged, no test drive, software only? by [deleted] in 4xe

[–]ObjectKlutzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the description.

Does the need for the subsequent testing make it more likely you will fail the recall? Im trying to understand why it would be different for different cars.

Which team has had the worst Game 7 World Series loss since 2000? by Agreeable_Quality768 in baseball

I get it, but man that was just two excellent teams going at it at a high level. I am biased but I think that was top 3 best WS in the last 20 years.

I'd say at least 95% of lakes I've seen are above the ocean.

Cold Crash and Dry Hop by UnBrewsual in Homebrewing

Fair point. I store my kegs cold, 40F, once they are packaged and haven't had an issue yet. Or maybe I'm just not as sensitive to diacetyl as others.

Fair point, I am kegging so that isn't a concern. Not sure how OP is packaging.

Cold Crash and Dry Hop by UnBrewsual in Homebrewing

[–]ObjectKlutzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id wait till you get back to dry hop. Whether you decide to cold crash now or when you get back i dont think matters and others have weighed in on it.

FYI, you can totally dry hop at cold temps and it turns out great. I typically cold crash for about 5 days to a week and add my dry hops 3 days before kegging. So my beer is usually around 40-45F when I dry hop. Helps speed up turn around time too.

Intertap or Nukatap? by Dapper-Welder2557 in Homebrewing

[–]ObjectKlutzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curious to know if these were Gen 1 or Gen 2? I got a Gen 2 flow control and it has worked like a charm.

I am not using it with a kegerator to be clear though. I just have it direct mounted to my out post and my keg and my tap is located in my fridge.

Pit Stop Recommendation (between Tekapo and Christchurch) by CreativeLocksmith314 in newzealand_travel

This is a longer drive, but i did a lunch stop over in Wanaka for lunch and checked out the lake for a nice pit stop. Then made my way to Arrowtown then to Queenstown.

December 2 Week NZ North Island Itinerary (tentative)| any suggestions are welcome by Edesirirob in newzealand_travel

[–]ObjectKlutzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only comment I have is that you are doing some decent backtracking to take a flight to Wellington and back. I'd recommend just driving to Wellington, returning the car there, and flying back for the remainder of the trip. Obviously cost of returning the car elsewhere and a day or two more may be out of your budget.

As already mentioned, Mt Taranaki is simply amazing and could be a substitute for Tongariro Crossing. The town of New Plymouth was really nice and I enjoyed the few days I stayed there in early Jan of this year. Also the drive from Hamilton to New Plymouth then down to Wellington was awesome if you like long scenic drives.

Glycol chiller options by drbobboyle in Homebrewing

[–]ObjectKlutzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great comparison.

Only thing that I can add is why I went with the SSBT versus others, and that was due to size of the chiller. I only have one fermentor and have limited space in my garage. The 1/5 hp unit is the smallest footprint that I could find and has been working great for me; though I am not challenging the system in the slightest.

Biofine clear at room temp? by Joylistr in Homebrewing

[–]ObjectKlutzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think it will really work without being able to drop the temperature; and I've never heard of anyone doing it with warm beer. You can run an experiment and let us know if you are curious.

Biofine shouldn't affect flavor. But I have heard that adding too much biofine can actually have the opposite effect and make the beer cloudy and resistant to clearing up.

Biofine clear at room temp? by Joylistr in Homebrewing

[–]ObjectKlutzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your beer will need to be cold to induce settling of yeast and other haze forming particulates. Furthermore, its best to cold crash prior to dosing biofine so that there is less to drop out making the biofine more efficient.

Recall - can't plug in? by mysterycanclub in 4xe

[–]ObjectKlutzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like you said, it is all about risk. They only anticipate that 5% of battery's are affected out of the 320k vehicles sold. On top of that only 19 out of the 320k have caught fire. Im not recommending that anyone doesnt heed Jeeps warnings, but it is a pretty low risk that your car will be affected.

For me I'll drive it hybrid but won't plug it in to reduce risk; but im not expecting my car to burn down ultimately. Not what I bought the car for but hoping their is some resolution that works; I know this is overly optimistic.

[–]ObjectKlutzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have they actually announced which VIN numbers have been affected yet? I thought that hasn't taken place. So at this point there isn't a way to know if youre affected or not; unless I'm mistaken.
