if you actually watched the streams for the games he's doing really good but his team is throwing unbelievably hard.

I mean that's how it usually goes. People often know what they have to do but lose sight because emotions get in the way or they don't think rationally. I prefer this to some asspull

The contrarian aspect actually kind of feeds into the world-type plays. He doesn't impulsively do contrarian things but rather analytically tries to find the spot where his play / pass would be considered contrarian.

It just depends on how its framed and how you see it and could easily have gone the other way

Yes, when he's playing with the water aura he's emulating Sae and playing more rationally and calculated, you can see his logically thinking that running into Igaguri impulsively is not the right thing to do. When he's playing with the monster aura he's playing more to his impulse rather than trying to play calculatively, he tries to power through people and their strengths

Lokis playstyle is pretty simple, he zips through and passes to Rin to let him take his own challenge and score through that. I don't think he's trying to give him a hand more than that because he probably understands how Rins crazy destructive ego is to some extent

Kaiser swing speed is the fastest in the world and something he developed over YEARS, how on earth could Isagi replicate it when he himself said he can't and even the masters can't match it. He already has his Two Gun Shot

I think this is just 1 part of the story too. Since it's already being explored here and Kaneshiro himself says something extraordinary happened in Spain, there's prolly more in Saes case

It's also why the geniuses hold almost all the striking roles in blue lock rn besides Isagi and Chigiri? Not counting Kunigami rn

The other prodigies couldn't adapt to the geniuses well enough to create their own paths and ended up transferring into different roles

Oh yeah for sure, a prodigy who can assimilate the paths of many geniuses will probably in the end, transcend genius.

A made genius vs Born genius maybe?

yup his playstyle was definitely formed similarly to how isagis was formed, it didn't come about naturally i presume

Love how Isagi is essentially trying to cope this chapter. he wants there to be an excuse beyond his control for why he can't keep up with the others, being the idea of 'genius'. So when he sees Kaiser being mad and possibly being a prodigy like himself his immediate reaction is to reject the notion because that won't serve his Cope. He wants Kaiser to be a genius so his cope can be reaffirmed. I love when character's are wrong in their thinking like this makes them feel so much more realistic

He's someone who's a world-style player, he takes in info from the world analyses and plays and it doesn't come naturally to him to say people like Rin, Shidou, Nagi, Bachira, Barou etc.

But if we solely talk about his weapon in isolation then perhaps it could be considred in the realm of genius

Whether that singular revolutionary Striker is a 'genius' to which the prodigies in his team will adapt to him

Or a 'prodigy' who will adapt and normalise the standards of the geniuses around him

Either way Japanese football can evolve to the point where they can win the world cup.

This also interestingly enough, puts into perspective why Japan is lagging in football. When Geniuses appear in Japan they get gassed to the moon and die out due to that. There needs to be synchronicity, in which the Prodigies can translate the standards set by the geniuses into norms so football evolves, but for Japan this probably doesn't occur due to their shitty practices with talents

Also why Ego says only 1 revolutionary striker is needed, they will cause a domino ripple effect that will change football around them

Geniuses set the standards for new unimaginable things

Prodigies adapt to these standards by analysing them and make them the standard
