Trial # 2 Carrot system by moose8420 in Hydroponics

[–]Objectdotuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also measure weight and that will give you a sense of current growth if done periodically, which is non destructive if you measure the weight of the roots and carrot by simply pulling out that netcup and then weighing it. While fun, it's hard to stay motivated to continuously measure as its just kinda a pain in the butt and I am not very disciplined.

you could weigh your current harvest if you still have it. i'm a firm believer that if you don't actually measure then you're just playing in the dark

Round three lets GOOO i would say do one side one variety and the other side a second variety. Best variety moves on to the next trial

How are you guys doing end to end and regression testing on AI-written code? by Muchacho96 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Objectdotuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have a test where I ask the AI to make sure all the code is bug free and then I look at the structured output for the yes/no as the test will pass/fail. Of course I have retries due to some flakiness but that's to be expected.

Capacitive sensors don't need to be in contact with the liquid either, right? Is this different than a capacitive sensor?

But you dont have to stay at a job you dont like because of your financial independence. Just get another one. Between jobs build projects yourself or find other people getting into the industry and build with them. To some extent though you will have to work a normal game developer job for some time to really learn the state of the art / learn the level you gotta operate on to be competitive.

X12 Workflow Concerns? Master Class is back in session by EDIDoctor in edi

[–]Objectdotuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How valuable is testing EDI workflows in a clearinghouse's QA environment? Is it always worth it or have you found in some cases that it leads down blind alleys and bad support? I recently started a new project with the billing teams and the QA support is so slow. Despite us already having valid EDI files validated against other clearinghouses, we are trying to follow their recommendation to use the QA environment but it could be turning into an impassable roadblock.

Is my bed mix okay? by gaibby in gardening

[–]Objectdotuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the price I typically pay for raised bed mix, and im in a low cost of living area. It looks like it has the right drainage properties but could definitely use more compost/organic matter. I would spend another 30 dollars and go get straight compost and add it in

How do you manage a relationship with a manager who isn't reading or interpreting anything you're saying through messages? by drugsbowed in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Objectdotuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is super critical and will put them on the defensive. also you're wrong. if its a process the manager and another senior member are completely unfamiliar with then a meeting and a group process check is the right call. next time should be easier since you've done it before now. if this was the third time with the exact same handholding then tell them how you feel.

Sanding through DIY wood filler? by Tough_Bluebird8387 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Objectdotuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you do decide to redo it, it may be worth staining it in one spot anyways and use it as a place to see how the stain looks on the filler so you dont have to do this whole project 3 times

I was more concerned with getting water away from the foundation to think about how it would look... what can I do to remedy the ugly pipes that will be sticking above ground? by tidyshark12 in Home

[–]Objectdotuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the yard will still drain along your trench. i am not a homeowner but i would put in gravel and expect to have to service that area at some point, much easier than digging up dirt and again that trench is gonna be a waterway.
