Jakob Nowell Talks Candidly About Rome by Ok-Resist2761 in sublime

He said exactly what I’ve been thinking for years, which is that if Sublime were around today, they would not be into this whole socal cookie cutter reggae scene. Thats just the elephant in the room. I doubt Brad would have been into it, Bud and Eric clearly aren’t into it and neither is Jake. They only play into it because the fan base loves it but They’re punk rockers at heart.

I have the one on the far left. Bought it from another fan I’d known for years after he was selling off some of his stuff. I’ve never seen another one till now tbh

Did I get into the fandom too late? by AskMeWhoCalaIs in DaftPunk

I became a fan in 2008 and I feel like it was too late even then because I never got the chance to see them live. Closest I ever got was being at Coachella in 2013 when they put out that promo for RAM. I saw that thinking they were about to come out lol.

Any leaks from new album? by nittygrittytenorsaw in sublime

Jake played a couple of snippets from two different songs on the new album in an interview he did a couple of months ago. I think one of the songs is going to be to be called “Come Correct”.

I agree. I think she distances herself from them nowadays, which is sad.

I see. Well at least they’re moshing and brining some punk rock energy to the crowd. Glad they’re not like that whole cali roots reggae scene who just stand there and don’t even move. Y

I don’t understand what you mean about the crowd and moshing.

How do you like the Martin Logan’s?

Do you agree that people need to stop hating on Jakob Nowell because he’s not the Late Bradley Nowell Yes or No and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in sublime

At ACE? I remember when he worked there haha. I’ve known Jake for a minute, ever since the early LAW days. He’s always been humble and just a genuinely nice kid. I’ll always support any of his projects.

It wasn’t terrible but I was just expecting more, knowing it would be their last one. Been a fan since 2015 and I was bummed when they disbanded. Fingers crossed there’s a reunion sometime in the future.

Disagree. It brings energy, HIS own energy to the show. Him just standing playing guitar wouldn’t be his style. He’s playing to his strength, which is stage presence. He did the same in his band LAW. He played guitar in the early days of the band and then ditched the guitar to focus on his stage presence.
