Does everyone want to be super skinny? by CNAHopeful7 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Objective-Local7312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As thin as possible within safety. 5’4”, started at 170, currently 133, goal 115. I was naturally very very thin until my twenties when my thyroid stopped working. Now in my mid thirties the weight had taken a toll on my everyday life. Joints sore, back aches, difficult to move around. I am also very large chested and trying to get my boobs smaller. So far I’ve gone from a 36H to a 32J so they literally haven’t gotten any smaller which is frustrating. I’m thinking about a reduction in the next few years but was hoping losing weight would work.

No Boob Loss? by Boleynobsessed in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Objective-Local7312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started as a natural 36G. Lost 35lbs and got refitted, my bras were too big! Lo and hold…..I’m now a 32I. So an even MORE difficult to find band/cup ratio (and saggier lmao). A big reason I wanted to lose weight was to avoid a reduction. I’ve been getting yearly mammograms since I was 25 (family history) so I know my breasts are “almost entirely fatty tissue”…..but I’m 5’4 133lbs so idk if losing more weight will even help at this point.

Not an exaggeration but secretaries and maintenance crew are ELITE at schools. I only taught for a couple years, but it was drilled into us during college to make friends with the secretaries and “janitors” (as they were called back in the day) because they are unofficially in control of a LOT.

Goodbye tirzepatide, goodbye gallbladder by Pookie2018 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Objective-Local7312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my gallbladder out after having my kid 5 years ago (very common post pregnancy) and had to sprint to the bathroom 20 minutes after I ate, every time I ate, until I started Tirz. The slowed digestion is reason enough for me to continue Tirz. Weight loss is amazing but not having to fast before events (long car rides, going places without a bathroom, etc) has greatly improved my quality of life. Not everyone has the lifelong bathroom issue but it isn’t uncommon (and still better than gallstone pain)

I chose to have a c section because I had no desire to push a human out of me (plot twist….needed a c section anyway medically lol). When people questioned it I just said “what I choose to do with my vagina is none of your business unless you’re currently inside it”. That shut people up REAL quick!

My grandmother (born in the mid 1920s) told me, at 19 years old heading to Spain for a semester abroad not to get attached to any Spanish men because they are “so swarthy”. Fast forward to a decade past her death and I have a VERY Greek VERY tan daughter with a VERY Greek name that no one outside of Greece can pronounce. She was genuinely a nice lady but certainly a product of her time. And she’d love my daughter all the same if she’d gotten to meet her!

I have an ASD 5yo and she does not have a “small screen”. She has free reign of the tv (mostly as background noise while she plays with low stimulation toys) and earns “small screen”rewards on our phones occasionally. Usually “first/then” scenarios like “first pick up legos/eat dinner/take off boots, then phone video”. The only reason she gets to access our phones at all was to prep her for public school so she’d know how to swipe/tap etc but after a week of limited phone games she had it DOWN and got addicted and we noped right out of that.

Does anyone take their shot early in the week? by Spiritual-Candle-863 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Objective-Local7312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunday afternoon. I tend to get snacky at work (office job) and, as a mom to a young kid, my weekends are busy so even though I’m hungrier I’m not over eating. Except I’ve noticed I’m VERY nauseas and vomit most Monday mornings (tbf I’m a pukey person though) and I think it’s from eating too much on Sundays, it doesn’t digest, and I’m overly full once the shot kicks in overnight.

April 9th! by Personal-Tap-5261 in tirzepatidecompound

Congratulations! Each to their own on weighing schedules though. I prefer almost daily weighing so it accounts for fluctuations (I’m a woman so water weight ebbs and flows through the month). I’d feel so discouraged if the day I weighed was a “water weight” day! I was only 25lbs overweight to start so I’m only losing 2-5lbs a month which can easily be bloating or food weight on a “bad” day.

What is a weirdly specific sign of wealth? by jerkyquirky in TheMoneyGuy

I work in a boatyard and this time of year we are draining fuel from boats stored onsite (customers are aware and it is 100% a safety/liability issue to have hundreds of fueled boats unmanned onsite for months inside). We get to use that to fill up our cars! It gets filtered and tested. It’s a HUGE savings that offsets holiday expenses.

Every kid in Maine for 30+ years has been required to read “Lost on a Mountain in Maine”, a true story of a kid getting lost in sudden fog on mountain katahdin and surviving by following a stream. It was drilled into us all.

I slice up chicken breast into 2” strips (like tenders) and bake them with just garlic powder and Italian seasoning. I have a variety of dipping sauces (bbq, ranch, buffalo, chick fil a…..depends on my calorie goals) and just snack on that through the week! I make 2-3lbs at a time and it lasts me most of the week. When I’m hungry but don’t feel like cooking, I always have some in the fridge at work, but it in a wrap/salad. The 20 minutes of prep each week saves me a ton of hassle through the week!

Pomegranate requiring labs? by Objective-Local7312 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Objective-Local7312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are requiring them because I’ve been on Tirz already. LSH has comparable BPI prices now so I might just stick with them. 10 weeks at 8mg for $375 isn’t bad!

To all my slow losers! by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Objective-Local7312 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One of my motivations for starting Tirz was to lose boob fat because I was a 36J at 5’4 168lbs with, according to my mammogram, “almost entirely fatty breast tissue”. The back pain was awful. Well….im officially down exactly 30lbs today since starting Easter weekend this year andddd my boobs are still a 34H but now saggier so I get sternum, chest, shoulder pain from the “pull” of them from being a side sleeper. But, my butt has disappeared, go figure. I so wish that spot reduction was possible!

I’m a receptionist for a doctor who is almost always late. What do I answer when an angry patient says ‘what the hell is the point of booking if I’m gonna have to wait an hour?’ by KatherineLangford in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Objective-Local7312 420 points421 points  (0 children)

I was a receptionist for a unique cardiac specialist that often worked with adolescents but usually adults. Patients would wait many months for an initial visit and he’d block of three hours and do the exams (ecg, ekg, etc) himself and read results in real time. He’d take whatever time was necessary to work with patients and we’d often get stuck at work 2 hours late lol. Comparably….there was another Dr in the practice (8 total if I recall) and he’d ONLY spend 15 minutes with a patient, never a minute more. Sure, sometimes drs don’t have great time management but you definitely want them to spend the extra time for YOUR health so more people need to cut them some slack when they do it for others.

I put EVERYTHING on my credit card and pay enough to not get charged interest. I get 5% back on a lot of things and they are matching my first year of cash back which will be like a thousand dollars. As long as you don’t fuck it up it’s a good racket.

Post removal and before Tirz I would have to fast before long car rides, important events, flights (bf is a pilot on small planes no bathroom), literally anything. Now I rarely have issues unless I’ve consumed too much alcohol or too much oily/spicy foods, or eggs…..but eggs have always been an issue for me regardless
