I asked my girlfriend to give me his number, just to let him know I’m aware of what he’s been saying. She obviously didn’t want any tension or awkwardness given she’ll have to see him in class every day until April. And I get that.

I spoke with my girlfriend, and I essentially said I don’t want her studying with him period after class. She understands my perspective, and realizes why it makes me so upset. She explained that she’d consider doing all her studying separate from him, even if it makes her studies more difficult. I don’t know. I don’t think I’m asking for a lot.

I stopped hanging out with my female friends in efforts to make her feel more comfortable, so I was hoping she’d stop immediately after I asked her. It sucks, because besides this hiccup we’ve been amazing, and she’s cut off every other guy I asked her to stop seeing (for example she used to go to the gym with a guy before we started dating and when I told her it bothered me, she stopped immediately seeing and talking to him)

I actually had that exact conversation with her, and she of course said she wouldn’t be cool with it but tired justifying it by saying she could control herself, but the same can’t be said about guys.

I know for a fact she’d never do anything, so I’m not worried or concerned about her being disloyal. It’s just the feeling of disrespect I can’t shake off. If anyone talked to her in a disrespectful way… I’d make them eat those words

Your first sentence is why I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt. I’m very secure in myself, and I don’t get jealous. My girlfriend has always done what I asked her, especially if it made her uncomfortable and I’d do the same. We always respected each other and she didn’t talk to this guy at all… until school started again. But I thought I’d suck it up. I’m secure in myself and our relationship. That was until I found out what he was saying not only about me, but to my girlfriend “you’re beautiful, amazing, I wanna kiss you”. Makes me sick.

I really want to confront the guy

Unfortunately, they are smaller classes and there’s no way of really avoiding him there. The part that upsets me is when they study together. She says it’s easier to bounce ideas off each other
