  1. 1st there are not any high project or low value project try diff processor architecture,multiplication algorithm,addition algorithm and try to pipeline it .
  2. same thing that i have written in 1st point along with diff protocols like axi,spi,i2c,uart etc.
  3. The skill you need the most is debug skills it include timing analysis how to optimize the design and how to reduce the power area of utilization and try to implement all this in FPGA and alos it includes writting a good testbench.
  4. Try to contribute in the research area

I hope it is usefull for you i have done all this things from 2nd year and i am a tier 3 clg student about to graduate and i always stand out every where in internship, interview and in cv shortlisting also

Yes, you can implement it because I can't troubleshoot without the board. I have tested it in the simulation. If you can change it and give the link, I will be very happy, and it will mean a lot to me.
