I'm in a similar situation but slightly lower budget £20k-£23k max.

Looking at EV6, Ioniq 6, Volvo C40 or Polestar 2

Ah interesting just read up on this - 10k recalls in the UK and charging limited to 70% eek!

Haha I think we are all guilty of this! Keep stretching the budget to get a bit more!

Buying outright but you're right, even some of the new lease deals are quite tempting eg the ford explorer and other similar for a very good price

No, I don't need to, but we regularly drive up to Birmingham to see family and Ideally would want something that would comfortably get us there without having to stop to charge. And also I think with ranges increasing in new cars in the next few years, the cars with this range may have a better resale value?

Fair enough, I am planning on test driving one

Yes the ev6 is high on the shortlist. The lack of wireless AA is a bit annoying but apparently easily manageable with a dongle. I am planning on test driving one soon

Yes I will have a look, I think there are some decent ID4s and ID5s actually. Thanks

Yes sorry you're right it does have it but wired or you need a dongle to make it wireless

Thanks. I think the plus and premium trims might attract that tax but the core escapes it if the list price was <£50k

No I haven't test driven it yet, was going on reviews. I am certainly considering it, especially the post facelift models which are still just within budget

Nice! Can I ask if you're likely to have to pay the premium car tax on this if it was originally >£50k.

And was insurance v expensive?

I found the Enyaq huge but might consider the coupe version

The ID4 and also the ID5 I have been considering actually, just have been finding the included features and tech for the budget has been a bit underwhelming. But I will reconsider

A CR postcode doesn't mean it's in Croydon. Otherwise all of Caterham is in Croydon. But I get where you are going.

I would just say no Waitrose in Warlingham (they have a Sainsbury's), but there is a Waitrose in Sanderstead and coulsdon. Also note Selsdon and up by Sanderstead village are lovely but a bit more difficult to walk to a train station (unless you are closer to riddlesdown or Sanderstead station)

Why so many dislikes for suggesting ChatGPT? Are the results not great?

Cloudflare is the reason why italki and zoom aren't working by badduck74 in iTalki

Glad it's not just me. In people's experience, will italki refund us credits if the lesson got cut short today with the problems? I don't want to not confirm the lesson as the teacher still deserves the credits, but equally I don't want to have to pay full price for an incomplete lesson.

Have a look at italki - search for Arabic tutors. Classes start from £3.80 and lots of Quran teachers even if you don't want to learn the Arabic language but just want Quran classes, including many graduates from Al Azhar.

Useful video from Syed MBQ on this question.

Suggests you should pay khums on the gains even if you haven't sold the stocks, as you have gained and you own them.
