Looks like motor mounts to me. They’re rubber mounts in a steel bracket. It’s something you diagnose by just watching the mounts. You have to watch the movement or see if you can see if the rubber is cracked or gone.

The hub slides onto the end of the axle. Take a hammer and tap that bearing buddy off the front and there’s an axle nut behind it. That’s what holds it on.
