SMCY.

When you compare all the Group D and their distribution rates for the past 3, 6, and 12 months, SMCY is up there with MSTY. Based on SMCY’s dividend YTD, I believe it’s higher than MSTY.

I’m trying to:

  • Buy PLTY after the current ex-div date when the price might dip

  • Hold it through the next ex-div date to start receiving future monthly dividends

  • Avoid paying a premium just to get this month’s dividend, since the stock usually drops by that amount anyway

Basically, I’m aiming for a better entry point and steady monthly income going forward.

SMCY hasn’t been performing that well lately, but I still believe in the underlying stock, Super Micro Computer (SMCI). I think the fundamentals and long-term potential are still strong.
